Full Version: Chelsea plot Kaka megabid

Nova
There are reports that Chelsea are lining up a sensational bumper bid for Milan’s Brazilian ace Kaka.

The 25-year-old midfield wizard has heightened speculation over his future by admitting in recent weeks that he would like to play in Spain or England at some stage.

While the ex-Sao Paulo man insists that he is happy at the San Siro at present, The Daily Express claims that new Chelsea boss Avram Grant is desperate to lure him.

The Diavolo have rebuffed numerous approaches from Real Madrid for the Ballon d’Or award favourite, but The Daily Express claims a bid of £100m is a possibility.

“Kaka is certainly a long-term target and if there is any chance of getting him then Grant will try and make it happen,” an inside source reportedly stated.

“Avram likes Kaka very much and has told Abramovich that he is a good investment, even at £100m.

“Of course all the wealthiest clubs in the world want Kaka, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, but only Chelsea can really afford him.”

While there is no way to verify the veracity of The Daily Express’ claims, it is unlikely that Milan could refuse a bid of £100m even for a player of Kaka’s importance.

But why ? They will buy some players with that money , but kaka is perfect for Milan. Why taking the risk on some players who might flop .

If it was me .. I wouldn't, but I think the management would (that was ur question, wasn't it biggrin.gif ) ..

No. I believe Chelsea and maybe even Madrid have made offers close to or as big as that anyway...

Not now and not before a new Milan idol is found... maybe when he's 29 and Pato (or whoever) is the new star... but I don't see it happening now!

It's the usual english press bullsh!t.

if milan were going to sale kaka that would've already done it
pacang
chelsea scum!!!! we don't need your money!!!
Fillipo Simone
No reason for that transfer. Kaka does not need Chelsea, just like Milan does not need Abramovich's money. End of story... cool.gif

Exactly what I was thinking. Milan won't let Kaka go unless they find their new star. Just like when they let Sheva go because they already had their new star in Kaka.

Personally I prefer Madrid over Chelsea. at least they have class and history and are as prestigious as we are. but what do Chelsea have? money? fvck that! Madrid can beat any team when it comes to money and Kaka has been their favorite player for the past two or three years. if Kaka was to leave Milan, Madrid would definitely be his destination.

Did Abramovich got broke? Chelsea hasn't spent as much in the summer because of the whole Roman - Jose dispute. They are more than capable and soon will be wasting big sums again.

Though I know Abramovic will go back to throwing money around again, I have this gut feeling that he has learned his lesson. Plus, he now has a world class squad !! What more does he need to spend on, if u know what i mean ..

It's never stopped Madrid for example or Merda... Roman wants big stars which are playing attractive football (like Ronaldinho). Most of Chelsea players are effective but not such that just their name alone can attract the fans...

Yes, that's your opinion.

And one player doesn't make a whole club class. Especially when you have Mijatovic and Calderon, they couldn't be classy people if they tried. rolleyes.gif

*

huh.gif Of course... I loathe Madrid as much as the next guy but they do have class that's unquestionable! Chelsea in the class map are as big as San Marino is on a real one!

It depends. I mean... everyone wants Chelsea even if they do not have a great history and that's simply because they have a great team that can win everything! But between Chelsea and Madrid (since those are the ones we're talking about) I think most footballers would choose the latter.

Mijatovic and Calderon are big *u*** but Abramovic is not a cool guy either. And these alone (much less than a guy who's actually on the field) do not take a club's class out...
Nova
Both Madrid & Chelsea haven't got class.

If you have clowns like calderon & schuster in your team it's impossible to have class.
KillerMax
Calderons and Schusters come and go. Real Madrid as a club are the only side who can match our class in the world.

There is Milan and Real Madrid and then there is other teams. And that's not just my opinion. It's the most popular opinion.

Those that are not Milan fans and even some Milan fans think Galliani is a clown too! That doesn't mean Milan don't have class...

Thats because Galliani isnt a clown , where schuster & Calderon are.

And no , I dont think Real madrid have class as a team. The only class they had just left last summer and his name is Fabio Capello.

I don't know anyone who's not a Milan fan and agrees with you... we're the minority. On the contrary, we're on the other side when it comes to Calderon.

But yeah, I have to correct myself. I do not think Real have class. They have great history and I respect them for that but I just figured out that the reason why I don't like them is exactly because they don't have class. Apart from a couple of individuals related to Madrid, whoever else I can think of ever since I have been watching football is ruined by the Madrid character... they are "royal" but arrogant! Those two attributes tend to come together after a while... sadly enough!
Rossoneri7
You guys talk about class .. `Define class first. Class=AC Milan ... Anything other than that is irrelevant biggrin.gif devilsmiley.gif

Oh and Chelsea wont get any of R10 or Kaka'. Abramovic might have the money, but so does Milan and Madrid for that matter. PLUS, Milan and Madrid have more to offer than just money, namely history and prestige. While Chelsea is just Chelsea rolleyes.gif Never was and never will be a classy club, maybe a VERY strong squad, but that is about it.

They still signed Malouda for like £14 mil, failed in a couple of attempts to get Alves for quite a big sum, they haven't stopped, just maybe not as mad as before.

Players aren't that bothered about history now. Benfica and Ajax have amazing histories but can you see Ronaldinho going to either this summer?

No. But that's cause they are not strong now and the leagues they are in are amateurish compared to the EPL... in my view, it's not that they don't care about history, it's just that money and fame, comes first for most people (I'm not judging anyone!) and then everything else. Chelsea can give you money and Chelsea can give you fame so...

When u say players aren't bothered about history now .. U r right, cuz there are only a handful of clubs with rich history and only a handful of players play for them. But when you talk about the world's best player two times in a row who is playing under a high paying contract in Barcelona and has won nearly every trophy there is to win and is sponsored by more than four Mega sponsors .. then it is only natural that his desire and next destination is Madrid or Milan. Cuz those two clubs are at the tip of the footballing iceberg !! He wont step down to a team that has won the EPL just 3 times in it's entire history rolleyes.gif

Sure Chelsea have the finances to convince any player to sign; i.e. S7 rolleyes.gif ... But that is just the exception to the rule biggrin.gif

Bottom line is, Chelsea don't hold weight in the transfer market when Madrid and Milan are in the fray .. Maybe the management has been pinching it's pocket, but when it is in the market for a KEY player, nothing stops Milan (literally, nothing) not Abramovic or the next hot shot who thinks he can compete cool.gif

Qadissiya could outbid Milan...any day!!
Fillipo Simone
It also depends on the players. There are not only clubs with or without class, but also players. There is a certain profile of players that joins Chelsea and there is a one that does not do that with such ease.

When we speak about class, Milan is on top without any concurrention. Real and Barcelona? Especially not Barcelona. I'll never forget the fact that they've released most of their legends when they didn't fit into their expectations/system (like Ablardo, Segi, Guardiola, Amor, Zubi; Manolo Sanchis, Ivan Campo, etc.).

Also, having Calderon and Mijatovic on helm of your club does not help. Still, Mijatovic is after all a former Real player, so,..

As for Kaka or Ronaldinho - simply said, I think that they're not so dumb to join the EPL. It would ruin them,... rolleyes.gif

I agree that it would ruin Kaka'/Ronaldinho to join the EPL. I think players in the German league are best suited to the EPL, guys that come over usually enjoy some success.

Fillipo pointed out my main reason as to why Milan have endless class, and Madrid have none:

Hierro was a legend of the club, and they just released him as they felt he wasn't good enough anymore. That'd be like Milan getting rid of Maldini Never!
