We get major funding and attention for most of our teams, but when it comes to soccer? There is this guy who trains these people and if we can find a goalie, we might play some games... If I was to ask my mom if she knows ANY Milan player, she wouldn't. Alot of the female members of my family couldn't tell you who Scholes, Giggs or Ronaldo are. They've never heard of Madrid, Milan or many Premier League teams for that matter. But even so, even if Americans don't know who Freddy Adu is, that doesn't mean anything. You ask people over here who Ben Gordon or Osi Umenyiora are over here, they're English and earn more than John Terry.
