I didn't say that was going to save his career.

1. Sheva was 30 at the start of the season, was he going to get better or worse from then on?

2. Everybody on here goes on about 'our team's full of old players' So we either had £30m or an old player.

3. Just because he wanted to leave doesn't mean anything, it's not showing disrespect. It's not like he was born here, he doesn't support the club.

It was a good move for us, stop whining and complaining that he's un-loyal. Does it really matter? Players like Kaladze have been here a few years, he's willing to sit on the bench, does anybody care about his loyalty and respect for his contract? Not at all.
*

1. He sure tried getting better at another top team

2. Everyone prefered sheva over money . There are some things money cant buy , legends !!

3. Loyal players stay untill the end . Period

It was a good move for us ?? How exactly ?

Your theory about him leaving because he's past his prime doesnt make any sense. If you're not at you're prime anymore you stay or you go back to where it all started . In his case Dynamo Kiev. So he realises he's not getting better , and he chooses another top team in a more intense league ??

@Hanna.

Roman wants to recoup as much of the £30m, too. So unless his price drastically drops or he allows a loan, Sheva will not be back.
*

roman doesnt want to sell sheva, he wants to keep him.

thing is that sheva creates a rift between roman & jose.

seriously, sheva's not worth 30m pounds anymore.
actually in his age he wasnt, also before the sell, we got actually "good money", considering sheva's age, and his "declining" performances (just saying he's not his old self anymore)

Hanna has it spot on. He wasn't worth £30m at his age, but that's what we got, meaning it was a good move on our part.

Sheva has proven he's past his best, I think so anyways. So I just see it as a good move, Chelsea were stupid enough to pay that much for him.

yeah good money, and a big part of it spent for Oliveira (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

i guess that was then our stupidity.
anyway, i still think sheva "betrayed" us.

for gods sake, he was considered to be the next milan captain, and then suddenly BAMM! this news....

Sheva wasn't just any player... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He wasn't a Gilardino. He was our most popular player.... Even more than Maldini... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He was idolized by Milan fans. We didn't give a f@ck about the money. And even if, and I'm only saying if, we ever needed money, we have a rich daddy who is not afraid to dig deep in his pocket. Sheva might have been good business for Milan on paper, but in reality nobody gave a f@ck about that aspect of it. Even Berlusconi cried. Milan fans were desperate.... There was that one picture where Sheva was watching his last game with us with the Ultras and this guy was holding on to him and crying as if he was saying," please don't leave". That's how much we loved Sheva. F@ck the good business. Milan are not about that.

No I know, he did betray us.

If he was a nobody, nobody would care. I'd rather him given us what he did and leave, then never give it us in the first place.

How the hell do you know if he was past his best ??

Too us he was worth much more that 30m , he was sheva and should've ended his carreer with Milan as captain ! The greatest honour for a Milan player.

If he wanted to go back to Dynamo in 4/5 years , We all would understand perfectly , but not now.

By past his best I meant that he had an average season at Chelsea. Yes he was played out of position, but his overall play was awful.

I'm just annoyed that everybody hates him now he's gone. That's not how it's meant to be, you can't expect him to stay if he doesn't want to.

I myself really wanted him to stay, I think he's one of the best to ever live. But I'm not going to go on an anti-Sheva portest about it. He gave us 7 fantastic years. Without them, we'd have been stuck in the horrors of mid-table mediocrity.
