QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jun 1 2007, 11:27 PM) Well, he had offers from all over. Not just Real. You have to remember that he grew up an Atletico fan. He watched all of their games. He grew up in their youth academy. I would understand if you said these things about a different player like let's say Nani or Anderson who jumped at the opportunity to play for a big club. But Torres has stayed so far with Atletico and he has renewed his contract almost every year so if he does leave, the club get a lot of money. For a player that wants to leave, that's suicide. He said last year that he wants to help Atletico as much as he can before he thinks about leaving. Not a legend because of age? Age is irrelevant. Suazo is a Cagliari legend. Casillias is a Real legend and Torres, is an Atletico legend. Of course not at the same level as Maldini, Baresi and Costcurta. Those three are of a different breed. Remember, Weah is a Milan legend and he didn't even play that many seasons for us. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Friend , I agree with the most you say ... chill (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) But i dont like to call someone a legend when he's 22 . I dont even call kaka a legend. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Legends are are the one who will be remember by everyone , not just the team he played for. I dont like to call someone loyal untill he's at the end of his carreer. BUt thats just my humble oppinion. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Btw , weah won the golden Ball and if you saw his goal against verona , the dribble from goal to goal , i dont see torres doing just that (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) grande weah ! Weah contro Verona

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jun 1 2007, 10:36 PM) That's childish thinking IMO. for example, Albertini has always been one of our most loyal players. But we had to let him go because of our own plans. Same if we let Ambro go. There it is! Someone's finally said it! Sheva was loyal too us. A players best years are usually between 25 and 30 for an outfield player. He gave us all those years, then gave us £30m to help build a team without him. Just because he didn't stay until he wasn't good enough anymore like Boban, Albertini, Rui or Stam. Do you really think he wanted to remembered as a player in his final years that was awful and was only their for the sentimental value? I don't think so. He was as loyal to us as anybody, give him a break.

So in 2 more years staying with us he was going to transform into an awefull player ? just like that (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) and going to chelsea was the only way to save his carreer ? I cant believe Im reading this ... Rui left because its no use for a player like him sitting on the bench. Boban retired after one season at celta de vigo. Albertini had to leave and Stam went to Ajax for his family !! With all due respect mate , thats about the silliest excuse i have ever read about sheva's departure.

Sheva was 30 at the start of the season, was he going to get better or worse from then on? 2. Everybody on here goes on about 'our team's full of old players' So we either had £30m or an old player. 3. Just because he wanted to leave doesn't mean anything, it's not showing disrespect. It's not like he was born here, he doesn't support the club. It was a good move for us, stop whining and complaining that he's un-loyal. Does it really matter? Players like Kaladze have been here a few years, he's willing to sit on the bench, does anybody care about his loyalty and respect for his contract? Not at all.

QUOTE (Nova @ Jun 2 2007, 12:00 AM) i blame this on porty (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) anyway sheva will be in the rumours all summer long _I bet, and I hope that it will stay RUMOUR and not become truth. to be honest in the last few seasons sheva wasnt the old sheva. the only reason chelsea wanted him, is that abramovich wanted his companion/friend aka sheva, because mourinho didnt request, and didnt want sheva. he is not really popular among the squad too, prolly because of being "romans pet". they dont pass to him often, i think, whenever i see chelsea playing... my source tells me sheva wants milan, but roman wants to keep "his toy" apparently milan want him back too ... He treated us like fools! He kept saying he wanted to stay with us until the end and that he wanted to become a Milan legend. He said that he was tired of replying to the press about a move to Chelsea and his answer has been and will be no and blah blah blah.... And exactly a couple weeks later the whole thing blew right open when Berlusconi told some fans in with teary eyes that Sheva wanted to leave. He betrayed us. Everyone loved him here. I'm sure things would have been different if he hadn't lied that much! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
