I think it's to do with smallish clubs like Pompey paying huge wages in order to attract decent players. But in this years showing, he's deserved to be on higher wages to be quite honest.

Anyways, on the 'Just In' thing on SSN they said Ronaldinho has just been in 'informal talks' with Milan, whatever that means.

Alexandre Pato has become the latest figure at Milan to support the likely signing of Ronaldinho.

The Barcelona playmaker seems almost certain to join the Rossoneri after Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani revealed last night that a deal for both the Brazilian and Chelsea’s Andriy Shevchenko was as good as done.

While agents confirm a deal between Milan and Ronaldinho, Massimo Moratti insists “he won’t move a muscle before hearing Inter’s proposal.”

This week the Rossoneri – specifically general manager Adriano Galliani – announced that Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko were “180 per cent Milan players.”

President Silvio Berlusconi also stated a transfer for the Brazilian could be made official before Sunday.

Agent Roberto de Assis commented: “We only want to talk to Milan. He will either go there or stay at Barcelona” and last night go-between Ernesto Bronzetti told the media “there is a deal with the player.”

Sacchi: I Would Not Sign Unprofessional Ronaldinho

Former Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi has blasted Ronaldinho by suggesting that the Blaugrana star has shown a lack of professionalism recently.

Ronaldinho has in the past come under fire for his antics such as missing training or returning back late from international duties and Sacchi admits that he would not sign players who lack such discipline.

The Brazilian looks likely to leave the Blaugrana and move to Milan but the former Parma coach has his doubts. 

“Ronaldinho’s professionalism has never really been extraordinary,” Sacchi told Marca. 

“He is a gifted player but I don’t think he has taken full advantage of this. 

“Now it’s down to him to return to being a great player and to get back fit because he has hardly played this year. 

“With me players would have to train, I wouldn’t really be interested in players who don’t work hard. 

“I love players who train with passion, discipline and motivation. Other coaches don’t think that hard work is important and they sign players who do what they want.” 

It seems as if Sacchi is trying to warn Milan to steer clear of the Brazilian however it may already be too late as the Rossoneri have all but signed the playmaker.

Sacchi is right to some extent.

But, I don’t remember a player wearing Milan jersey who acted unprofessionally (didn’t work hard, or missed trainings regularly, or went out often at nights)
