Don't be that fast. We're not even half way through and Lazio is still hanging on in pursuit.

Exacto. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Not to mention Napoli is breathing on our neck. If both these dirty clubs (Lazio and Napoli) can maintain this into next year, we're gonna have our hands full. Then there are the usual suspects such as Roma and Juve. At the very least this season's league run is going to be EPIC.

Imo Robinho was horrible.

Ibra was great, and efficient as usual.Boateng was sensational,he scored a goal and gave an assist.Ibra wins man of the match, and Boateng was the 2nd best player on the pitch.

When Bologna attacked,we didn't look very good defensively.Bonera didn't do well, and also all of our fullbacks looked great today, specially Abate as some of you noted.

Abiati makes some really stupid decisions, but his saves are great. The penalty, the shot from ramirez and the header of magg...something.

Strasser should play instead of Gattuso. But,he's not much better. But,I would try him out a because he's young,he defends well. And his passing abilities are fine.I didn't see a lot more from him other than his runs. His positioning was good.

I liked the fact that Pirlo played advanced today,he can do better at a more advanced position with Ambrosini and Gattuso winning balls, and passing it to our attacking players.

Seedorf's laugh when he cost us a penalty was evil ;p

Anyone think that Robinho might actually be able to fulfill some of that hype he got as a kid?

hardly seen a player been able to do that. is it impossible?

When has Robinho ever been good for you? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

People make shallow judgments when they rate Robinho. You must look at his performance in complexity and realize how important he is to our game. Not only he keeps scoring, but the guy runs endlessly, presses the opposition and helps in the defensive maneuver. He acts as a link between midfield and attack, which helps facilitate the job of people like Boateng, Pirlo and Seedorf. He's the ideal partner to Zlatan.

Also, Strasser dissapointed a bit. It's really unfair to comment him after just one match, but again, it think it's obvious why he isn't pushed in the game so far. He still got to learn many things.

I wasn't neither disappointed nor exalted, he had a discrete second half. The game was in safe, there wasn't any need for him to exhibit himself in some life-saving performance.

I agree with all that, but when it comes down to it when Pato returns, will we want Robinho on just because he runs a lot, or Pato who is a lot more efficient in front of goal?

Today we were playing more of a 4-2-2-2, Pirlo was high up on the left Boateng going from right to center while Rino and Ambro stayed in front of the defence, and I have to say we looked really good, don't know how much Bologna aided to that, but it was certainly better to when we were playing the 4-3-1-2 with Seedorf behind the 2 strikers and 3 DMs.

As for Strasser, he didn't do anything special, he didn't need to. But what he did was good, he's good on the ball, doesn't panic when he's in a tight spot and usually picks out the right pass. Imo it was a very good performance, and showed once again that he's the only kid ready to come up from the Primavera

If Pato's performances continue on the same verge as before he got injured, then I have my doubts. It's not just about who scores more, but analyzing the performance in general, Robinho is more involved in our game than Pato ever has.

I think given the chance to play in his preferred position then Pato would offer just as much as Robinho, if not more, probalem is if Allegri reverts us back to the 4-3-3 and pushes Pato out wide to the right, if that's the case then I agree with you since Pato is clearly uncomforatble playing there and we won't ever get the best out of him from that position

double post

so edit: good game, I liked the chosen midfield. With Pirlo, no Seedorf needed, Boateng good option.

Since the Robinho-Zlatan attack is working very well, and Pato will be the one coming back from an injury, Pato better start from the bench. Whenever one of Robinho or Zlatan needs rest, or we are not leading, Pato can play and either prove he makes our team better when playing or not.

Very smooth display, the kind of match we used to struggle in not so long ago. We looked very good, passing was pretty slick, our attacks clinical. And Ibra is proving to be an absolute monster up front - I would be wary of how good we'd be without him.

We look like champions but there's still plenty of time for things to go wrong.

X-offender:I though Robinho was great in the last two games,I don't know if I said it here. But,today he didn't do much.I guess,I've set high expectations for him.He had a good pass to Ibra and the goal, but could have done much more. From when he became starter till today. You could constantly see improvment.I just thought today he would be even better,I think it's a bad game for him with relation to his current form.

Agreed. Robinho has earned his starting spot. The benching mightn't be too nice for the duck's ego but it may serve as a catalyst to get more out of him. We've been waiting for that "more" for quite a while.
I think the Boat deserves to start
