We Can Still Hope - Ancelotti

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti urged his team to look forward to the game against Udinese and forget about today's 3-1 defeat to Napoli.
Milan were dealt a hard blow to their chances of qualification to the Champions League today. In the away game against Napoli, they were outplayed by a very motivated side who proved to be stronger on the day and lost 3-1. Coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on this costly defeat.

"It was a bad day, in which Napoli played a great game and we didn't," he said. "We suffered because they were very determined from the start, then it was more balanced but the counterattack goal we conceded ruined everything.

"Now we must accept what has happened today, we cannot do otherwise, we must only think about beating Udinese, doing our duty until the end, and hope in a positive result from Torino. Nothing went well today, we were never in control of this game, let's just hope we are still in time to reach our objective, the Champions League.

"I think it's still possible, even though we are behind right now. There are 90 minutes left, let's beat Udinese and then see what happens.

"I hope Torino play their game, as all other teams did today, in which there were some unusual results."

how can he say to forget the game against napoli.

if it was a game previous in the league i would understand, but it was a great chance to stay 4th and don't have so much pressure on winning the one against udine...

what will he say if we loose next week: forget this season ,the next one will be better and we'll win the scudetto or what...

I don't really mind missing out on the CL for a year, it wont annoy me that much ... But to get 4th place, then loose it (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ... It's just too heavy to bear

Lol, and some people were saying you were busy. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Hehe. Better stay awake next game, or you might be in for a nasty surprise. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Bummer. Worst result possible, and we chose that today. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The win over Inter counts for nothing, shame.

Yup, pity. Had we made it count today and next week, the win against inter would have been one of our biggest victory ever. At least the best and most important after Athens 2007. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

It seems he's busy when we lose then!

Perhaps if he wasn't so busy we might be fighting for first place?

Edit: I am busy on weekends as that is the only time I can spend with my family, luckily they understand that I want to watch or keep up with events concerning Milan.

Well, it just so happens that Sundays are not weekends here (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Usually the game is on tv ... But when it is not, it isn't stimulating to sit in front of this screen waiting for results, and since I had just come back from the j.o.b .. I just dozed off. Anything else you need clarification with chief ? Or do you want to go live your life now ?

Hi,..I'm back from my Germany-France tour,...just in time to see nothing has changed. We're still on collision course and still have a chance to win the 4th spot.

Things really did not change, therefore, I must disagree in my very first post back here with Kurt. As usual..

No, it was not in vain, that Inter win. Why? Think as a rossoneri:

A. We ended that bad 3-lost-derby streak
B. We complicated things for Inter. Today they've played 2-2 with Siena and Roma is on the verge of a sensation.
C. It gave the fans at least a bit of satisfaction in this poor season

I also cannot imagine a CL season without Milan. It's just not right. And for the 128646575859 time, the Bayern effect cannot work with Milan, because:

a) Bayern could promise winning the title next season. The opposing teams (Werder, Stuttgart, HSV) in Germany cannot be compared to those in Italy. What Milan could promise to the newcomers next season is only CL football, but not the scudetto.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Bayern had Klose and Toni sealed months before the season even ended. Their management acted promtly and realized soon the situation the club was in. That's a big NO in our case...

Welcome back and great post (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

Personally, the Champions looses it's flavor without Milan, Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool etc ... But what to do, you just have to accept it (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

You must live in a strange country if saturday and sunday aren't weekends? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Funny how you missed the game because you just came back from your j.o.b. yet previously you said you fell asleep! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

What's it going to be then chief...job or sleep?(nothing to do with us losing then!)

And why isn't it stimulating to keep up with your teams progress? I bet you would have been posting like a good 'un had we won today (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Keep believing, eh! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Could you explain that a bit? why can't Milan promise the Scudetto the newcomers or the fans or whoever? I can't understand that.
