Arsenal did do very well to reach the final. But I think the loss of those players, some of whom are irreplacable, is one of the reasons they won't reach that level of play for some time.

Only Henry is irreplacable, out of the bunch (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If Wenger can bring in 3 players with experience, they will be a tough team to tackle. It all depends on how much experience the side has (as off now, I agree, the side wont reach that level of play..), but with 3 players of experience .. Arsenal could make a HUGE impact next season. You never know (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

It's a possibility.

Gilberto's the only guy in the team with experience, Lehmann doesn't count because he's childish. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Pires is irreplaceable! There will never ever be another Pires! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Well, I am not a HUGE fan of Arsenal, as u r .. But I have been to Hibury and I have watched Henry play ... So it is fair to say that I was really impressed with Henry. He gave the best years of his career to Arsenal (as Sheva did to us..) and now he is cashing in (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

He is in his decline and, as everyone is confirming, Wenger will replace him (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) But don't expect to go the distance, cuz it is when u expect the least that u get the surprise of winning the CL (as we did (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) ..

p.s. Arsenal reached the CL final with this very team that Arsenal has, except without Rosicky and Hleb, but still the same team. Therefor, I don't think loosing Henry (at 31) is a HUGE loss (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

you see but they don't have kaka, they dont have nesta in the defence or maldini. They dont have half the midfield milan do. Its alot harder for them to compete than milan is by losing just sheva. I mean gilardino our main guy didn't do sh!T, thats fine kaka did the work for us. If adebayor and rvp don't do the work, whose gonna be scoring? Fabregas, i dont thinkso. Arsenal are in a real piece of work right now, and if they dont spend they'll turn into a mid table team like kurt is suggesting.

no experience is not necessarily the only solution to the problem. If they buy smart, they can still challenge for 1st. First signing is edmillson or Emerson who aren't happy, and they will come cheap. 5 million pounds tops. Second buy trezeguet. They can get him for 10 million pounds tops. And finally trade adebayor for cisse from Marseilles. In total it should cost them 20 million if some clubs are being b*tches. henry will provide them with 10-15 million pounds. If they're not willing to spend 5 million pounds, they dont deserve to be considered a powerhouse.

If they make these sorts of transfers buy bringing in 2 strikers and DM. They will cover henry's place easily. They have a new goalie and also plenty of midfield so they youngs can play. Toure is enough for the defence along with gallas.

They still maintained a strong season last year without much help from Henry but it showed in the CL and prem how much his services are needed.

Losing Henry is a red flag to the whole transfer market saying DONT COME HERE. There aren't many experienced stars that can take Henry's place and there aren't many that would want to come to Arsenal at this point or ones that are in the transfer market to begin with. They are just playing the youth wildcard and waiting for them to develop. There is no way Arsenal will compete with Liverpool, Chelsea or Man U. They might not even take Tottenham.

Nope. Ljungberg is still there, with even more experience...Plus Gallas, Denilson and Rosicky all pretty experienced...

Okay, Iv'e cleared some things up.
Replacement: Rumor has it Wenger is considering Anelka. With Henry going to Barca I doubt Saviola and Gudjohnsen would care to stick around anymore, so maybe one of those. Otherwise, Tevez, Martins, Cisse or Torres are possible alternatives.
Future: Il'l give the team 2 years.
One year for the new signings to adapt, the next year for winning trophies.
If wer'e still figthing for 4th place in 2009 Wenger will resign, Fabregas with him and unless someone likes Scolari or Hiddink comes in to save us, we are well and truly fvcked.

Saviola is good but I doubt he'll go EPL and Gudjonsen is sh!t. Cisse probably stays in Marseille. Torres... there are reports today in Spain that he's going to sign for Liverpool - 36M euros next week.

Bent, Anelka, Martins and Tevez. I'd go for Bent. Plus... he's an Arsenal fan.

Ljungberg may have the experience, but has wasted away all the talent he once had, I don't know where he went wrong. Gallas I agree with. But Rosicky and Denislon!?

Rosicky has spent one year in the EPL, he didn't adapt very well at all either, he'll need time to start playing well, he hasn't got experience in this football.

Denilson has no experience at all, he's 5 months older than me! He's played no more than 25 professional games in his career. Maybe you're thinking of Denílson de Oliveira (Former Betis & Brazil?).

Gudjohnssen left Chelsea on good terms, he won't go to Arsenal. Torres and Tevez will be going to a Liverpool and Inter respectively. Cisse would be the sort of player Wenger would go for, but I'm not sure he enjoys the EPL much after all those broken legs.

I'm not sure who you say as a replacement, unless Wenger continues his faith in Adebayour..

The angel of mercy....is that ur new thing??

Arsenal need three signings in defence, attack and midfield. All strong, all experienced.

Otherwise they might even have to fight with the Villas and the Newcastles for a European spot.

Wenger like young prospects: Babel/ Huntelaar(long term)/Trezeguet(99% leave juventus) is good replacements
Use Bendtner as starting eleven
