From start to finish. Proper approach to get ahead, proper approach to close it out. Finally from Pioli! I've seen a lot of comments about him being like a cat, he has 9 lives. But the man is a cockroach I swear! A nuclear war won't take him out.

I just hope this is the start of a good run in both the league and the rest of the group games. We can actually win this ***** if we win the next 2 games. Which would be crazy considering where we started today.


Pulisic I'm worried about, seemed like a hamstring. Hopefully it's just a pull. We play so much better with him on the pitch


But everyone put in such a big performance

Leao really showed up and played like the star that he is. Also put in a big shift to help out at the back


Was he the DM though? It certainly looked that way in the graphic but Tijjani seemed much more central at times, while others it looked like Ruben was central but slightly higher.

Either way, this mid works so much better than the other iterations we've seen.

The injuries have taken a sledge hammer to the coherency but this has to be the way forward

RLC especially has been such a huge miss in the last few games. If it wasn't for Calabria's heroics against the best player in the game atm, he'd be my MotM. So good at shielding and carrying.

If only he could shoot better. Same thing with Tijjani. If only he could actually shoot. He's such a smooth operator, when he's running with the ball it looks like he's gliding along the grass.

One last thing. Pioli has been grating on my nerves big time these past few games. We've been playing sub-par since the Genoa game for sure. We had not won a single big game so far prior to this one, and while that has been mainly due to injuries and the red against Juve, it has also been due to his decisions and approach to games.

Today and against Napoli we saw how great we can be. Fast, dynamic, just all over our opponent when we want to be. The Napoli debacle in the 2nd half was also down to him.

I really do not want us to change coaches during the middle of the season and I'm really hoping he'll build on this. One thing is for sure, the players came out and played their @sses off. It might not have been just for him, but I'm sure he's a big reason for it. So let's all just hope that he can get his sh!t together. He won us a Scudetto against all odds. Everyone is doubting him again, but I really want to see him pull through. And if we win nothing this season, then so be it. But a strong run in the league and a comfortable top 4 position and getting out of this group will be good enough.

Next summer though. We have to change and go for a bigger name. Someone who can take this group to the next level.

I think it was a 4-2-3-1 in the end, but there was a lot of shifting and interchanging. Still, I thought Musah was the more defensive of the three.
