QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Feb 17 2009, 01:41 AM) Well Beckham is reluctantly going back to the MLS. He may be the star, but he certainly isn't the best! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Is that a fact or is there some old feelings for Juan Pablo Angel behind that statement? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

Angel is one of the league's better players. Well-liked too.
(Fishdoll likes him even if he DOES play for NY.)

QUOTE (Il Capitano @ Feb 17 2009, 04:12 AM) Looked up his MLS stats and he's doing great over there. Did not know he got the same birthday as me, 24 october. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Yes he's done well. I believe he even captains the team now? He also tok them to the MLS Finals, but lost. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) QUOTE (Tennie @ Feb 17 2009, 04:23 AM) Angel is one of the league's better players. Well-liked too.
(Fishdoll likes him even if he DOES play for NY.) He is very likable! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Still on the topic of MLS.. what's the situation with Becks' teammate Landon Donovan, is he being bought by Bayren or is it a similar situation to Becks where they aren't prepared to pay up or something?

That cross tattoo on his neck is perfectly placed. Nice choice.

Galaxy dismiss Beckham reports
Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena has dismissed reports suggesting AC Milan are on the verge of agreeing a deal for David Beckham.
The England international is at the centre of a long-running transfer saga after expressing a desire to make his loan move to the San Siro permanent in order to reinforce his chances of playing at the 2010 World Cup.
Milan are understood to have had an initial bid in the region of £6million rejected by Galaxy, who are thought to want around £8m for the midfielder, but the Serie A club's vice-president Adriano Galliani claimed on Thursday that "progress" had been made.
Arena, though, has reiterated that he expects former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Beckham to return to America when his temporary venture in Italy comes to an end on March 9.
"I suspect those rumours, in terms of AC Milan sending a delegation over, were not accurate," Arena told Sky Sports News.
Rumours have suggested Galaxy could be prepared to accept a cash-plus-player deal, involving either Kakha Kaladze or Daniele Bonera, as Milan look for alternatives in striking an agreement.
Arena confesses there will be will be further talks with Milan, but insists that, if the situation changes, MLS outfit Galaxy will be the club to prosper.
"Certainly there will be discussions with Milan as we move down the road," he added.
"But again, as we have stated all along, as of now, we fully anticipate David to be back, as well as Landon (Donovan - on loan to Bayern Munich).
"However, if anything changes, the change will be to the benefit of Galaxy. We have said that all along and have tried to be consistent with that.
"If things change, they change. But, right now, we anticipate both players being back."

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Feb 20 2009, 09:40 AM) I feel sorry for him. Even a simple transfers been blown out of all proportion due to both sides being a bit petty over it. Yeh he's caught in a fairly rough spot,he's worth alot more to the MLS than he is to Milan as long as there's that divide i don't see how the clubs can come to an agreed transfer fee. Does anyone know how the "buying out the contract" works exactly?and how much would Becks need to fork out? Is that really an option?
