Not really sad. He held the club in ransom once with 18 or 19. Now he's doing it again. Him and his scumbag agent. Not really interested in pursuing them at all.
But the stupidity of our management is what baffles me mostly. Losing such a lucrative player for free is beyond anything. I must repeat myself... what was the last time such a Bosman transfer happened?

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ May 25 2021, 11:08 AM) what was the last time such a Bosman transfer happened? Cambiasso, Pirlo, Lewandowski, Goretzka, Ballack, Depay, Pogba... Anyway, I don't blame our management. He had to go for free because he wouldn't renew his contract, simple as. You honestly think Paolo hasn't tried to do it for the last couple of years? The guy always kept asking for more money, insane commissions for Raiola, and without concrete offers from other clubs, they couldn't just cave in to their demands like a bunch of losers. Paolo made the right decision. Hugely disappointed in Donnarumma. To put money ahead of the club that raised him, believed in him, made him debut at 16, gave him an insane salary at 18, even engaged his brother to keep him happy. How does he repay us? By holding the club hostage and blackmailing. Simply disgraceful. Let's see if he can find a club who's willing to pay 10M for a GK and 20M to his mafioso agent.

First of all, half of the examples you gave are decades old. Secondly, only Pogba and Lewi qualify as top talents who were lured to another team. Whereas Pogba was still an unknown talent who might have backfired. But Donnarumma is a top 5 talent player in Europe or the World. Seeing him go to another team was bound to happen - sooner or later. Seeing him go for free is what really hurts.

Also, how good is this Maignan guy really? Anyone seen him actually play? I'm very skeptical.
