If Atleti don't take up the buy option, you basically just gave your most valuable asset away for a year with no gain. Even if they do, you've lost him for a season for nothing.

I what way? The loan or?

Just not sure exactly what Torino is getting out of this deal. It just seems like the small club is losing their best player for one season without real benefit and compensation if Atleti decide not to exercise that option to buy while Atelti get some good depth in the least.

Just doesn't make sense to me. My best bet is that Cerci was going mental to leave to a bigger club and Torino really think Atleti will end up paying for him that much.

Yep, stupid from Cairo just because he didn't want to lower his high asking price, Cerci was never worth 20m. I don't think atleti will exercise that option which means Cairo gets screwed over

Guys, Mediaset says that it's not a loan. Atletico paid €16 million + €3 million bonuses.

Marco van Ginkel has arrived in Italy few minutes ago. He’s now heading to the hotel accompanied by his agent Jansen, the intermediary of the negotiation Parisi and Milan’s sporting director Maiorino. Chelsea’s midfielder is about to join the Italian club.

All the Chelsea fans I know REALLY rate him and think he'll be excellent at Milan.

A De Jong, MVG & Poli midfield isn't the worst.

There was a time, not long ago, when a situation where we breed a player for Chelsea would sound like science fiction...

Milan and Parma are working on a deal Involving multiple players. Biabiany would move to AC Milan, while Zaccardo and Niang would transfer to Parma. The French attacker would join on a season-long loan in order to play and Improve. The parties are in talks to try to reach an agreement. New developments are expected for the next hours.

But why Biabany? I can't think of anything the guy has to offer but speed. He is nothing special even at Parma...

Same reason as our other transfers. He's cheap.

Biabiany in for Zaccardo and Niang? I'll take it.

But if he performs well and wants to stay, we can always make an offer to Chelsea after the loan period is over, no?

I expect more from Van Ginkel than from Torres.

We can theoretically but if he performs well Chelsea most probbaly would want to keep him or sell him for a sum we can't afford, not with this managment. So far this is probably our cheapest transfer window in Berlusconi era.
