QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Sep 16 2006, 05:27 PM) Both Bayern and Hamburg lost... What was Hamburg thinking losing both of their main defenders in one season? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Money makes the world go round...Money Money Money...ooops, sorry, I just this feeling. Anyway Hamburg will have a hard time this season with so many good players gone (although their replacaments are very good)...

QUOTE (mchanna @ Jan 16 2007, 10:55 PM) Sebastian Deisler has retired from Football!!! The 27-year old from Bayern Munich.... He was a psycho....one of the most talented german players of the last 10 years of course, but he always had psychological problems and this stuff....despite his huge talent he just wasn't made for professional football...

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jan 17 2007, 11:59 PM) What kind of psychological problems? He was out for nine month because he had depressions. He couldn't handle the expectations everyone had about him. In Germany it's like everytime there is a young and talented player (and Deisler was VERY talented) people want to see a new superstar in him. And with Deisler it was like people saying "He will be the new Wolfgang Overath" and things like this. It just was too much for him. When he made an huge impact in the Bundesliga he had the nickname "Basti Fantasti", now everyone calls him "Psycho Deisler"....

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Feb 6 2007, 01:43 PM) I think you're just stealing Kahn's lines...(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) How's my fav club Leverkusen doing?? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) And Stuttgart?(almost exclusively coz Porsches are manufactured there!) By the way does the word Bayer in Leverkusen have anything similar with Bayern in Munich. Does it mean Bavarian? BTW does Milan have a tie up with an car manufacturer now? I mean like Real and Arsenal have with Audi. So the players basically get to choose whichever Audi they like. Isn't Alfa Romeo in Milan? Shouldn't I open a new thread for this? Do I have ADHD? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) You seem to like cars.... Anyway, Stuttgart is doing extremely well, they're in third place now, and have a great young team with young striker Mario Gomez and other youngsters like Serda Tasci, Thomas Hitlsperger and so on. Leverkusen is just crap. A shadow of what they used to be, especially after Berbatov is gone. Bernd Schneider is their only good player. Schalke just beat Bremen 2:0 and has now taken the lead. Great game by Lincoln IMO. I think they'll win the Meisterschaft this year... Oh and welcome back of course Cap'n

Just wanted to say...another two goals by greek sensation Theofanis Gekas....Bayern plays like crap...so does Bremen. best football team right now in Germany is Stuttgart. Gomez is THE discovery of the season. 13 goals by him so far. Another uprising talent is Manuel Neuer, Schalkes new 20 year old goalie. I'm sure he'll be the next Lehmann or maybe even the new Kahn.

QUOTE (dst @ Feb 26 2007, 03:09 PM) I actually forgot about that thread. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) Aachen's second was a beauty! Maybe you should also look for defenders in the greek league thought cause you gave away the lead twice. You think?? He only has scored around 12 goals, right?? How much has the top scorer scored ?? Oh and get used to Epalle's celebration, he always does that ! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Hmmm....Aachens second should not have happened, but Bochum never manages to bring a lead over time... Gekas has scored 10 so far. Top scorer is Mario Gomez with 13 goals so far. To be honest I htink him or Kuranyi will be top scorer this year, maybe Makaay. But not Klose, he and Bremen play like crap recently...

Oh, and Gekas scored again.

So Bayern can hold their own against big teams, but lose against small ones, or they are just inconsistent?
Either way, good for us or bad for us?

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Mar 17 2007, 09:54 PM) Bayern Munich arent as strong as they were last season ... If anything, they are weaker. In anycase, at the Allenz arena it will be difficult to play them, but the game in the San Siro will decide wether Milan will go through or not. At least that is my prediction. In anycase, we'll pass them with flying colors Yes but so are we (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Bayern misses Ballack and his headers. Him and Sagnols crosses were unstoppable in the Bundesliga. They didn't play too god, and they're as inconsistent as I've never seen them. And even more important they miss the "Bayern Dussel", meaning winning even matches they play very bad.
Right now I see us ahead of them We still have Ricky but they don't have Ballack. He may be mediocre at Chelsea, but at Bayern he was the leader of the team.

But from what I understand Shalke's form has really dropped these past couple of months right?

(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Damn burgers! Schalke really had no chance of winning the game... Bayern won 2-1 over Hannover on Saturday. Really weak first half, but then Demichelis and Schweinsteiger scored the winning goals. Bayern won't win the Championship this year but too bad for us, Hitzfeld gave them their self confidence back... Btw, my club Bochum won 4-1 over Leverkusen, goals 15 and 16 by the "Greek lightning" Theofanis Gekas. He'll win the "Goal scorer cannon" this year (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

So Bayern loosing Ballack, they only lost the name and presence, but comparing players, Van Bommel is all round better than Ballack ... Ballack is superior to him in any department. Shooting, heading, passes, crosses, etc. Btw, he was the most important player for Bayern in the last two seasons (especially the last one). Sagnols crosses and Ballacks header, with that Bayern dominated the Bundesliga. Everyone knew what would happen when Sagnol once again played one of his great crosses and Ballack was in the penalty area almost no one could prevent him from scoring. But Ballack is not a playmaker, he never was, he's something between that and a second striker IMO, and his headers might be the best in the world.

Ballack in Leverkusen was much better than when he was at Bayern. At Leverkusen, he played as a CM, somewhere between Kaka's position and Pirlos ... But never seemed to bring in that performance too Bayern. That is as far as I know for Ballack, but what he did with Bayern, he has definitely become a more attacking player than when he was at Leverkusen. Van Bommel isn't a super star as Ballack is/was ... And Van Bommel will never be one. To compare both players, I don't know much about them, just from what I'v heard and seen (CL games and a couple Bundesliga) ... In the end, I don't doubt Ballacks shooting or heading, but wha this Bayern fan was telling me was that Van Bommel is more effective and a team player than Ballack is. And that Van Bommel is playing in his own position, while Ballack played (at Bayern) at a much more forward position than the one he was used to at Leverkusen (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Other than that, I have no idea (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE (Porty @ Apr 23 2007, 12:10 PM) Well, I read in a brazillian paper quoting him 3 days ago to Bild. Dunno... And yes, she's something. Well...quotes from Bild are a funny thing. Let's take the case of the rumour that Jürgen Klinsmann could become Chelskis new coach. On one day Bild interviewed Franz Beckenbauer to say that it's not very likely, that Klinsmanns becomes a Club coach. 3 days later they quoted an article of "The sun" which was based on Bilds interview with Franz Beckenbauer to say that Klinsmann despite other statements might become Chelseas new coach. Confused? Yes....so am I....

Wow. Bochum beat Schalke today, 2-1. Title race in Germany will be down to the wire -- Bremen and Stuttgart are now only 4 and 2 points from the lead and have yet to play this weekend.

QUOTE (dst @ Apr 27 2007, 10:38 PM) And Gekas scored again... his 19th in the Bundesliga and 7th consecutive! I could have never expected this... I really can't believe it! Gekas>Gila! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Well that's not actually a big feat, it's more like... ( ... ) > Borriello > Gila = 0 . (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG: http://mediadb.kicker.de/news/1000/1100/3000/artikel/574558/280x210_QUNh7Gsxqp.jpeg) Gekas and Misimovic. Bochums two best players. Both scored today against Schalke, in the end Bochum won 2-1. What a game it was. I was in the stadium and it was so cool to the all the p!ssed Schalke fans who already celebrated the championship, and now Bremen can take the first place on Sunday. Bochum is through anyway, another year in the Bundesliga for the "Zaubermaus". Gekas is great. What a striker he is! Fast, good at the ball, good shot, good insticts --> A complete and modern striker, probably the best Bochum ever had. Edit: I've seen your NTs coach dst. And I have to say....for an almost 70 year old he's very fast (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

You think Gekas would be expensive to get?
But then again, would he be successful in Italy? I think he could be worth the gamble. I like his style and always impressed me when I managed to see him play
