This is turning into a very amusing debate.

Bruce Springsteen and Merle Haggard singing songs about Leonardo's problems at job?

Long live careerism! Long live the values of money and greed! Bravo, that's the spirit of the new century!
Economy, cold heart and ratio above all!

That's what's making this conversation amusing.

Exactly. And the other parts show you how deep we have all fallen in some human terms.

As for the whole "Leo desperately needs the money" arguement, why did he say it would betray his past to join Roma then? It's pretty obvious he would have earned more than enough to make a comfy living at Roma, and to first say what he said only to join Milan's enemy number 1 (regardless of what some twit or another may think) is so stupid I have to wonder wether it's intentional.

You guys are ridiculous. No matter what you think about Inter football is a fucking game. A GAME. How in the world can you question someones morals because they joined a rival team? Get a grip.

That's were we'll never see eye to eye. For some of us this is about more than two differently named sporting companies exchanging employees. If you don't share that view, well, your loss, but don't act as if you have some kind of moral monopoly while ridiculing any opposite sentiments.

You know what? You're right. But I guess I don't care that much because Leo does not hold any special place in my rossonero heart. Now if Kaka' was to join Inter, I wouldn't get sleep for nights.

Also, Leo seemed such a great guy during his period as our coach (which is when I got to know him better), never abusing his position and always confronting problems with a smile on his face, whilst any other coach would have raised his voice. He's always been a gentleman, and that I appreciate a lot. But yeah, what he's done now could very well transcribed into betrayal, so I understand all the fuss.

+1

We shouldn't wish him luck or anything of course, but he can make his own choices on where he wants to work. Heck, maybe there's a chance he instills some class over there.

And our club dumped him, it's not like he's choosing them over us anyways.

That's what I said when he first went there. that his incompetency as a coach could actually help us win the league. he couldn't have done it better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Personally I don't really think Leo had anything to do with it. It was all Benitez, Leo has the highest points average of any side since he's taken over Inter, their run to claw their way back into contention was hugely impressive imo.

His incompetency against top sides is his biggest downfall as a coach, but I'll stil hand this one over to Benitez. Thankyou fat waiter as the English like to call you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

Very much agreed with a very rational post. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/king.gif) Leonardo has massive drawbacks against top sides who can figure him out, and defensively he is practically a no-body. But he did what he could in the league. I know a few inter fans, and they were practically hoping against hope to make at least the 4th place and CL.

2nd place and getting back in the title race was not even in their wildest dreams at the half-way point.
