QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 29 2013, 07:16 PM) Where are the quotes of Allegri saying he wants Matri? Galliani himself said so, and really there are so many options for a short term solution, yet we go after the most expensive dud we can find who is a personal favourite of Allegri. He might not have said it out right, but every media outlet out there has confirmed basically the same thing, that this is a request from Allegri

So the meeting ended between Allegri, B & G, Barbara, and apparently all that time spent talking only resulted that, yes, they will buy Matri (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) The level of apathy present in this club is puke inducing. We get drawn in a CL group with Barca, Ajax and Celtic and we're going to waste 12m on Matri instead of fixing our defense and midfield. Just unbelievable Most clubs close deals within 2 or 3 days max, we spend all summer circling around possible solutions, then make a 180 in the final week and overspend on the most average player we can find.

Ahh, don't get upset, it's just another bad move, not that it matter anyhow.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 29 2013, 08:20 PM) Ahh, don't get upset, it's just another bad move, not that it matter anyhow. The problem is that we've added his wages on top of everything else plus the money we'll have to pay Juve each year for his transfer fee. Add to that, what will happen when Pazzini comes back? Matri is already a backup now so when Pazzo is back we'll have 2 of them. I guess one of them will have to be sold next summer. I'd prefer to keep Pazzini but Matri's resale value will be shot to hell because we don't have an idiot club willing to pay us over 10m for him like Juve did. The Juve forums right now are better than the Brazilian carnival, that's how much they're celebrating.

But the salary thing is really appalling. It puts us backwards and just solidifies the opinion that we have no clear managerial strategy or plan. One day we say goodbye to players like Nesta or even Flamini because they're old and cost us too much, the next day we splash 12m on a 29 year old guy and give him a significant raise as well.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 30 2013, 01:20 AM) Ahh, don't get upset, it's just another bad move, not that it matter anyhow. Aye, my point exactly. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Enjoy the ride while you can, it's not like we could have turned the world upside down with a few champions (as long as Allegri is here, that is). This fruitcake is another in the long lineup of bad moves. I guess, I'm the only guy happy inside. Then again, I am most of the time, contend and enjoy spectacles like these. Even if they end up as horrifying experiences. I mean, I lived through Robinho, and he didn't kill me. Yet. Besides, the toolbox of a Brazilian provided some genuine humorous moments - on the pitch, that is - over the seasons.

Well, best coping mechanism is to put him out of our minds and act as if he's not even here... So let's wait for the expected comments from Galliani. I'll give you guys a rundown "The mercato is now closed" "Matri is a great player and completes our squad" "We have options in every position" "This squad is competitive" (IMG: http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/ad38/nagender98/bth_cry.gif)
