Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has rejected a move to Milan, according to the Italian Press.

The 20-year-old stopper, who joined Los Meringues from Sevilla last year, is happy to stay in La Liga and is negotiating an improved contract with President Roman Calderon.

The Rossoneri will have to look elsewhere now. While the signing Massimo Oddo remains as complicated as ever, Vice-President Adriano Galliani is tempted by Juliano Belletti.

The Brazilian full-back would be happy to move to San Siro and Barcelona would be keen to sell him for about £3m. Milan may then offer him a three-year deal.

Belletti would then be an easy option considering the problems in all the other negotiations.

Even Argentinean left-back Leandro Grimi, who was supposed to join Milan during the transfer window, is having troubles with his passport and may only be available from June.

Ramos is a Real Madrid fan as far I know. He is probably the future of their defence and maybe captain. Can play as RB and CB - world class defender. And Real is going to sell him? For god sake... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

That happens when you have some amateurs as directors. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Good cause I don't want him here.

And what is up with Grimi?? I don't think they would have bought him if he didn't have an EU passport. I think it's just the media putting out BS so they will make the story more interesting (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Not that I can recall (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Besides he is not such a good defender imo. Especially not good enough for Serie A

well if i'm not mistaken grimi is a left back/left wing back so he's cover for serginho and i'm guess janku might find himself on the becnh. Now we're getting cover for cafu who's probably done after tihs season. so we're browsing and looking for options. I highly doubt real would let us take one of their key players like ramos. that would be like real trying to take nesta from us. but ya i want oddo.

I think he has a bright future .. He played very good for the Spanish in the WC. If you are getting a defender from Argentina (Grimi), one that you practically know nothing about .. Why would you say no to a potential talent, like Ramos ?

Cause Ramos' probably going to cost 10x more than Grimi.

Actually more. Grimi is 2M euros, and Ramos costed 20-25M for Real Madrid (from Seville). His value at the moment, I'd say it's somewhere between 25-35M as he is the future of their defence.
