The amount of chances we've fluffed throughout this CL campaign is just embarrassing at this point.
I talk a lot about how bad Pioli has been with all of his decisions, especially the in-game ones, but the finishing and missing sitters is on the players
Now we have to hope Dortmund do the job on PSG and we win in England, while Dortmund have already won the group thanks to us.
Honestly, at this point it's better if we bow out. This squad and the fitness/medical team behind them is not good enough to sustain a CL run while fighting for top 4. We'll break down fully again at this rate and go through another major crises.
100m spent in the summer. Only one CB available, no Giroud backup and forced to play with a mish-mash of players in the most important position on the pitch in the DM position...

What can you do in the end? I think our chances were ruined in that first game when we wasted so many chances. Had we won that, we'd have probably won the group. Instead we're dropping down to the f@cking EL. I'd rather have ended last tbh. This is going to be an unnecessary drain on an already depleted team.
I was trying to post yesterday during the game but I kept getting the insecure site warning and getting logged out. But the gist of what I was trying to say is that it has become a chore to watch this team play.
All the things that looked good at the start of the season have somehow been distorted by Pioli. Reijnders is a great example of this, he's been moved to play as the 6 and we've neutralized him completely, not to mention that hi positioning in that role is @ss and we've payed more than once for it. This can all be put down to Pioli because he wanted to insist with Krunic as the DM. Now look where it's left us
RLC as well, all the good he brings in being neutralized by being played in the AM position.
Don't get me started on Theo at CB.

This is due to the forum being an http site Bro, there's like 3 people posting in this forum nowadays. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Anyway, regarding last night, but also the latest games in general, I have really stopped caring. It's only December and we're out of the CL and out of the title race. It's too dramatic. We had such a good start to the season, but Pioli and injuries have completely thrown everything into the trashcan. I don't mind the EL, but I'm pissed that our win meant those posers of PSG got through. Last night we didn't deserve to win. Once again we played like sh*t, Newcastle dominated the first half in and out. And even in the second I think they were the superior side. We have no game, the players have lost all motivation and desire to do things right. Because we're not as bad as we're playing, that is for certain. Pioli will be sacked at the end of the season, everyone is saying that's been decided and I think so too. We'll just have to endure till the end of the season, get that CL spot and hopefully an EL win.

It's just so obvious that a lot of the players have also thrown in the towel on the season. What's disappointing to me is that we had players who started the season so well but bad management and the constant injuries have killed their form. RLC and Tijjani being the main ones here. RLC with the injuries and Tijjani being forced to play a position that should have been addressed in the summer. Rather PSG than the EPL side, they'll get KOd in the next round anyway unless they get a really lucky draw. I just cannot take the British pundits and the best league in the World BS.

Reijnders has also been playing non-stop, I think the lad is just tired and understandably so. There's been rumours about Loftus having groin pain syndrome. It's what kept him out of the Lecce game after that fantastic PSG performance, and why he's been so underwhelming ever since. Musah out today as well due to muscular fatigue, another player who's been playing non stop. Honestly, even more than Pioli, I think these injuries have been the death of us. Kjaer is starting today after two months. Hopefully he can stay fit for these last few games of the year.
