Yeah, you're telling me. But this blowout was probably the best thing to happen to Brazil what with all the unrest going on right now.

In the past three Confed Cup finals, Brazil has scored ten goals and given up only three. That'll get it done every time.

If there was one team that could finally beat Spain, it was Brazil, in the final, in front of their own supporters in Maracana. every thing was set for this happen, but still I thought Spain were going to win given how they've dominated the world in the past 4-5 years.

It's the Micky Mouse cup and winning it doesn't mean much IMO, but what we can draw from this tournament is that we're witnessing the birth of another great Brazilian generation that comes long every 10 years or so. and they're all so young. credit to Scolari for not bringing along has beens like Kaka and Dinho, he knew what he was doing. next year with the World Cup being in Brazil again and with these players improving further, there'll be no stopping them.

Neymar dives and playacts a lot, but you gotta give it to him, he's the real deal. there should be no doubts about that anymore.

Birth of the next big generation? I think you're overreacting. The WC will tell us the real story, mind that in 2005 Brazil also won the Confed cup which ultimately meant nothing.

Good to see Spain lose, it's about time.

Few years ago you'd think that Pato would be a sure thing in Brazil squad for the next WC by now, I still hope that maybe a good year in Brazil next season will give him a shot.

I'm not so sure. Scolari is a coach who rather picks a "less famous" player as a rotational addition, like Jo or Luisao in 2002, and leaves the big names out. He did it in 2002 with Elber, Romario and Amoroso. I have a feeling the same will happen to Pato.

His chance are not great anyway and needs to prove he deserves it first. I read that last season in Barzil he was pretty mediocre and wasted many chances. Maybe a good year will change that cuz Pato in form worth more than most of their forwards.

I hope Pato has a good season, this will be the first where he's fit and has had momentum, physically speaking. who knows... Hulk has gone about 11 games without a single goal. sure he contributes in other ways, but a striker has to score. but it'll be hard, this Brazil has been a success, Scolari won't change much for the next year's WC.

@ Fillipo

As I said, I'm not giving Brazil credit because they won an insignificant tournament. I'm looking at the players, their potential, their coach and how they've played against world class sides like Spain, Italy, etc. besides, home support counts for a lot. next year's WC is going to be the same story. they'll be hard to stop.

I was the one who said Italy and Japan would stop Brazil before the tournament because they were mediocre, and Neymar looked like an overrated flop. but after the first game my opinion of them completely changed and they've gotten better and better each game. as Scolari said, they've realized their potential now, which is huge. it's take something special to thrash Spain like that.

I don't understand, if BBC and ITV had already secured the rights then what did FIFA want, to cancel that and sell the rights again? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
