I also agree with you han on some points. But I don't understand why this Emerson is such a problem. The guy has been called bad names, awfull terms, he's been crucified and 80% of the posters just spit on him like he's the last player on earth. Maybe he's a joke, maybe he's bad or even not usefull any more, but god, do we need to crucify him? Do we need to exaggerate the badness of this player to the point that it becomes disgusting?
And I do find it disgusting that people just throw countersigns like "go retire" or "get away, release him". For me it's something low and very arrogant to say. Who am I to say someone should be retired? I know, I and everyone else has the right to say almost anything, but I find it so disrespectufull. And I honestly belive none of our players deserves such disrespect, starting from Kaka and Pato and finishing with Dida and Emerson. Milan is a team, and anyone should be allowed to express positive feelings and love for his milan-favorite, at least in a place called like this one.
I do agree with this to some extent. And you do make a good point but go look at any other team or past Milan teams, there is always 1 player that is hated by the fans.
Emerson has took Brocchi's place this season, where last season he was always injured and nobody really took any notice of him, so he didn't bother anyone by being on the team. Where as Brocchi was the one taking all the hits. But you have to notice the common pattern in both these cases. The way Carlo uses Emerson (and before. Brocchi) is what p!sses me off the most, bringing him in when there is no need, and then it backfires on us. Leaving someone like Yoann out, or even Cardacio, who we don't know what he can actually do because Carlo never gives him a chance yet Emerson get's at least 20 minutes every match. Or like last Sunday when he took off both Flamini and Ambro and put in Emerson, I mean what was the whole deal with that, it would have been much batter to just leave either Ambro or Flamini then put Emerson in.
When I said he was a teacher's pet I was not exxagerating it, it's simply the way our current situation is under Carlo

Btw, I am not discussing Pirlo because of his performance since he returned... Of course that's too short a time since an injury to discuss a player's performance. I am discussing it because of his poor performance since after WC06 (barring some performances in CL07). He has been poor since, and I think the team benefited from his recent absence. When you play in a "live by Pirlo, die by Pirlo" fashion, you die when he performs poorly -> and that's what has happened for the past 2 seasons.
You made great points in you posts and even I if I don't agree with some of them they were still very good points. Although I don't agree about the Pirlo thing. He's just an invaluble player to us, and sure we were winning a couple of 1-0 matches since he's been out. but it's not like it's suddenly his fault that we lost.
And Imo it's the 2 DMs against the weaker teams that's the problem, Seedorf and Pirlo playing next to eachother in neccessary in order for our play to be more flowing, that's why we look so terrible against the smaller teams when we play with just one of them. On Sunday Pirlo was left out to the dogs, both Ambro and Flamini were playing badly and they left Pirlo exposed, and fighting off against 2-3 players when he got near the ball. I personally think it would have gone better had we had Rino and Seedorf playing next to him, therefore, all the creative burden wouldn't have fallen upon him, Rino would have hussled and harried and got in player's faces and Seedorf would provide that extra creative mind in the midfield that Pirlo could 'bounce ideas off of' so to speak.
