What happened to Antonelli? I don't remember him being this awful last year.

Who's the worst player on the pitch? Antonelli or Mauri? Difficult one to call but probably Antonelli wins by a smidge

He barely played last year. He was decent the year before that, now he just looks slow and completely out of touch. Can't even bring simple balls down

Andre Silva must want to kill himself today, countless great runs and not once was he put through.

Anyway FT, really bad game imo, but sort of expected with that kind of lead

The management really need to evaluate some players who are on this team and atm aren't being linked to anyone (Antonelli, Mauri)

That was painful to watch. I hope we don't have to see this anymore this season.

Really? I don't remember his first season with us being this terrible, in fact I have mostly positive memories of his games from that season. Last season he was out injured for the majority of it, now he doesn't even look like a footballer on the pitch. He actually looks like a retired players when they do those - insert legendary player here's - XI charity friendlies

What a boring game, but kind of expected given the aggregate score and the players on the pitch.

I feel bad for Silva. He was trying so hard to score, but he could have capitalized better those very few chances he had. He really seemed frustrated. Maybe Cutrone's form and Kalinic's signing is putting pressure on him.

In the UK we have a saying: a game of two halves.

That was one. From a solid fluid and well-organised 3-5-2 in the first half in which most players knew their role and quite a few played rather well, that second half was a disgrace.

The switch to the worst organised 4-4-2/4-3-3 ever was a mess, with Calabria an absolute shambles as a choice for left back when Antonelli was thrown up as left winger ffs.

Giving up wasn't the reason - they didn't stop playing after the early goal. But it just went to pieces in the second half and I can't say a single player out there got pass marks.

I just don't think 4 at the back suits this team. Not with Bonucci in it.

And so it should. That's the sort of pressure you get playing at a club like Milan. It should be Cutrone feeling the bite of 60M worth of striking talent he's up against, but he isn't because he's delivering.

I like Silva more than I did but I'm not convinced by him. I also think we overpaid for him.

Hopefully the last time the dregs like Mauri, Zanaletto (sp), Calabria etc get to play.

fwiw Zapata actually had a not bad game.

Montella took the rotation to the extreme, I doubt he'll do this again, The big lead in the first leg is what really decided how this game would be played

Anyway, I thought we were complete pants, only impressive players out there were Cutrone, Silva and maybe Locatelli to an extent.

Mauri looked awful, Antonelli is finished, Zapata was his usual careless self, especially on the ball, Bonucci was decent, nothing special, Romagnoli, I barely noticed him, Zanaletti is clearly not ready to be with the first team, Calabria has imo regressed a bit considering the promise he showed early last season, he's sort of lost his way, especially with the constant shifting around from right to left

Are you sure we played 4-4-2 in the second half? I think we played 3-5-2 the entire game, only Calabria took Romagnoli's spot in the second half. That's the impression I got anyway.

No, I just think 45 minutes was the max he could play given how long he's been inactive.
