Appalling. Probably Galliani's idea. The biggest low-life of the lot

It's fine if it included emoticons and a few pictures of cute cats.

Sad. But this is the same club that is celebrating Carlo Ancelotti's birthday on it's official twitter page. Not once but at least a couple of tweets.

It's bad to do this to Seedorf, but to me this means that relationship just degraded to catastrophe levels. Like a passionate affair gone bad.

The e-mail might be pointed. Apparently when he had a disagreement with Tassotti, Seedorf proceeded to do just that. Send out an e-mail to Tassotti detailing all the do's and don'ts and how he expected Mauro to behave. This is what pushed him to offer to resign apparently.

So the club I imagine argues that respect given is respect earned.

Seriously? If that's true, Seedorf's a bit of a d*ck himself, gotta say...

Regardless of what Seedorf did or did not do, I think Milan treated him very badly. You can part ways in life, but you should always try not to burn bridges, no matter how bad the situation is.

FWIW, I liked a number of things Seedorf was doing with the team, and I found him a big improvement over his predecessor. However, I also had some concerns, for example his being too rigid in his tactics, the reports of unhappiness among the players, as well as some quirky decisions (like insisting on playing Abate and DS on the same side). I also got the sense that he was a bit arrogant in his approach (nothing specific I can point to, just reading between the lines), and this may be part of the reason why it did not end well.

I am personally disappointed with how the team has been handling past players lately. With that being said, I am excited about Inzaghi becoming the next coach. Something about the way Seedorf was running the team just didn't feel right. I thought he would be an upgrade over Allegri and would bring back the old family feeling but the locker room problems persisted. I know it's easy to pick apart the team he put out there but his stubborn attitude when it came to his players had me feeling like he was playing favorites. Although he did put together a few nice wins, we would have been better served having Tassotti finish the year after Allegri.

It is disappointing to burn a bridge with a former player but, I believe he still loves the club and the fans, and it is more of a negative feeling towards the management. When a new regime moves in we will have him back.

Despite this, I remember the Seedorf who barely jogged when he was selected to play, and I remember sadly how he seemed to lose interest. On the other hand, Inzaghi always gave 100% effort for the team and I believe he will be the one to bring back the tight knit, professional, and classy attitude the club used to exude.

Combine that with the quick moves we have been making and the "5 under 25" mantra that I read on here have got me feeling that we are in the beginnings of a new era. Inzaghi was the youth coach, and I believe he will be the one to bring through the youth. He was one of the most passionate players and I believe that will translate to his management style, firing up the players to give that extra step.

Good post.

You know, with Seedorf we got what we should have expected: an experienced but stubborn person with a huge ego. Evidently his personality ended up being his demise.

Heard it all before though. We were going with youth last summer too. Then spent our whole budget on Matri.

Yeah, I agree we have no reason to be overly optimistic based on past history. OTOH, if there ever was a situation where we might actually give space to our youth, it has to be with Inzaghi. So I am hopeful.

This says Sacchi may come back in some role (apparently he met with Galliani and Inzaghi).

Its the time of the year isn't it?

Where sport newspapers, football websites and the likes spin us off in controversy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I don't appreciate Seedorf being sacked, just like I was against his appointment in the first place. Regardless of what the 'rumor' is on why and how he was sacked; fact remains he was sacked for not achieving his target (even if it was a monuments task to begin with).

Inzaghi, is probably the same story. He will be given a target of achieving CL at the bare minimum, if he achieves EL he'll probably get the sack as well.
