Ok, this is it! This is the turning point! This is when an era is over! And the new one looks anything but promising!

We sold these players:

Andriy Shevchenko: Our best and most valuable player! Our top scorer for the past decade and our most feared player!

Status: Condition RED! Not replaced!

Rui Costa: Kaka's sub. We were lucky to have him!
Status: Condition green! Replaced by a young and extremly talented player.

Stam: One of the best defenders in the world!
Status: Condition yellow! Replaced with Bonera. While Bonera is good, he is nowhere near Stam and that's a worrying fact considering we were struggling badly in defense even with Stam last season.

It's not looking good. In fact it looks pretty horrific.

As it's been officially announced, we are only going after Ronaldo and if a deal can't be sealed, we will settle with the players we currently have.

Our attack has gone

from Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Crespo, Tomasson

to Gilardino, Inzaghi, Amoroso, Boriello

You see the difference?
Amoroso = under average striker at the moment. He couldn't even play for Dortmound anymore.
Boriello = 0. He is absolutely lucky to be playing for Milan at the moment. He does not deserve it. His record of 10 goals in 82 Serie A appearences should be enough to sell him to Empoli or a Serie B team...

Inzaghi will most likely get injured mid-season and when he does, we will be in trouble! Big trouble! He will be fatigued too, so we can't always count on him as our first forward!

I am absolutely furious with the Milan management! Especially Berlusconi! As he was the one who stopped the negotioations for Sobis! He could have been a great buy! He did not care for Tevez, Crespo, Torres and many others! Instead, he is going for Ronaldo. An over-weight player who is struggling with an injury and lacks motivation. Even Kaka has said that!

Our defense was anything but Milan quality last season and the only reason we had a good season was because we scored a lot! Now we have lost that factor and we haven't even fixed the defense!

As things stand, I have no hopes for this season. There is not a chance we will win the CL and Serie A will be long and tough!

God be with us! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Totally and utterly right.

How can Galliani even think that just Ronaldo will be enough and if we don't get him we stay the way we are??!!!

Our defense is in shambles, it has been for the past year and a half and they have done nothing to fix it except get an inexperianced player after losing Stam.

We lose Sheva, and what do they do, they try to replace him by a past it Ronaldo. Our attack needs 2 signings, either we get both Tevez and Ronaldo or at least if we only could get Ronaldo try to find some other promising player, I'm sure that if they looked they will find someone that could take Sheva's place in the future, the Brazilian league is filled with talented forwards and they just let one get away, TO GOD DAMN RACING SANTANDER!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree with you guys more. People(including me) have pointed this out too, but it cannot be said enough.
The Sheva-situation hasn't been resolved and I can't see how it will be. Tevez is the only decent option left and he'll probably not come, as he's not Milan's first choice while he's the first choice of United and perhaps also Chelsea.
Bonera has replaced Stam and why on earth did we sign Favalli with Serginho, Jankulovski and Maldini in left back??? But let's not shout just yet, there's still a week left to buy players and I hope for at least one of Gallas or Oddo...

You said it. We should definetely do something about this situation!

This is our line-up when we won the CL in 2003
(IMG:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ae/AC_Milan_02-03_Lineup.svg/434px-AC_Milan_02-03_Lineup.svg.png)
See the Problem? We have almost the same players in our line-up more than 3 years ago.
Milan always signed older player, but it starts getting really bad. In the past the old players we signed we'e World Class. And now we buy guys like Favalli? Come on...
And Ronaldo...I mean are we still living the 20th century? I guess not, so we should let the fat guy stay right where he is.
We lost the race for Sobis to Racing Santander? Who the hell is Racing @ucking Santander compared to Milan? Our board doesn't even show interest for World Class players like Klose who could be brought here easily since they're not playing for a big club...
The other European top clubs all spent big money, lets just look at some:
Chelsea: The Ukrainian, Michael Ballck, John Obi Mikel, Boulahrouz and most likely Ashley Cole
Real Madrid:Cannavaro,Emerson, RvN,Diarra
Barcelona:Gudjohnnsen, Zambrotta, Thuram
Not to mention Inters signings.
I mean, we should sign some of those players! Everyone around us is improving their squad, and what do we do. Our squad is getting older day by day...

Yep, agree with all of your comments.. atm it does not look promising one bit..

Regarding the 2003 champions league team.. the key was how defensively stable we were. We won alot of games without conceding and generally at most conceded a single goal.

The main reason we went so well last season was only cause we scored a **** load of goals. Without king sheva.. I seriously doubt there will be a repeat of that this season.

I wasn't too concerned about the replacement for sheva (IMPOSSIBLE) providing we boosted our defensive line. I'm still hoping the braida surprise is buffon.. and maybe either or both of gallas and oddo.. we can provide a challenge in the champions league this season. Then maybe sign iaquinta or vucinic as a striker we can actually use off the bench.

At the moment I am extremely concerned.. keep checking the football italia site, hoping to see an official milan transfer.

OMG just saw this, this better only be a fucken rumour..

Premiership duo on AC Milan alert
23-08-2006 14:24

Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly chasing AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze, who could be made available.
Il Giornale claim that the Georgian international is ready to leave the San Siro once he has recovered from injury, with the Premiership duo understood to be interested.

The experienced defender is thought to have told coach Carlo Ancellotti of his decision to leave.
Arsenal may be favourites, as they could be seeking a replacement for Chelsea bound defender Ashley Cole.

Easy pal, easy.
No one denies what Silvio has done for the club in the past 2 decades, the problem is: It doesn't help us now!

Milan's management have been weak from the January transfer window.

It was a sign that somethings wrong. When you sign Amoroso and no new defenders.

Problem is Don Silvio turned into a major politician. His attention has not been on Milan for the past several seasons.

He lost the elections and is trying to get back into it.

Galliani is weak and I don't see what good he brings to the club.

There are no replacements for Scheva, you have to face it. We lost 20+ goals. Sobis, Tevez, and Torres are no replacement, except as a future possibility.

Thats why I am optimistic with the possibility of Ronaldo coming, at least he can come and play a forward role. I think Milan will be a new environment where he can work with Cafu, Serginoho, and Kaka. He'll get in shape.

He managed some amazing goals last season with a Madrid that was a shadow of its former self.

But how many time do we need to get Ronaldo in shape??? maybe 4 months, IF he doesn´t get injured again. And that IMO is a bet!!

I really hope that right now, Galliani and Silvio are working hard to get reinforcements. You have to remember that a couple of months ago, WE DON´T EVEN KNOW IF MILAN COULD PLAY ON SERIE A, so the other teams are running with a HUGE advantage in the mercato.

Just have some faith people!! we can crucify Silvio if we want, but ONLY when the mercato season is over.

This are results from the poll that Gazzetta did on who could be the most useful player that MILAN should buy

Maybe Berlusconi will see this

Why everybody acting like transfer window is already close or something. I'm angry too , but we still have time. There will be plenty time for accusation after August 31
