yah i was getting a little too excited. The post above was rational and logical thinking. The lecce game was not. After the lecce game i was hoping allegri was a miracle worker and now its saddening to know he's not

Milan does not need a miracle worker, IMO Milan need a more experienced coach with some kind of pedigree - at least one achievement in his career. Up till now Allegri developed a Milan with issues in every single department - the defenders seem unaccostumed to each other, the only reglar defender Milan fields right now sucks (Bonera), the midfielders don't work in his system and are not ratinally used, while the running forwards mostly spend energy on useless actions that end up in a dead end. I'm not satisfied with Allegri, I know, he needs time, but anyway...

I think it's time to drop the 4-3-3 line-up. This formation brings us too many problems. We have a good squad, but like Blue said, we don't have the adequate players for a 4-3-3. I really, really hope Dinho decides to not renew his contract and leaves for the US or Brazil, so we can finally sign a young and talented attacking midfielder (i.e. Pastore) and finally bring back the glorious 4-3-1-2 beauty that made us big in the last decade.

Amelia
Zambrotta - Nesta - T. Silva - Antonini
Boateng - Pirlo - Flamini
Pastore
Pato - Ibrahimovic

That would royally kick @ss. If you don't agree, then you're stupid (j/k).

We have Robinho if Dinho leaves, so that's your 4-3-1-2 down the drain (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

And A Palermo player coming to Milan? Good one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yes, we do, but that doesn't mean we can't switch to 4-3-1-2. Robinho can always be Pato's substitute.

Not sure about the substitute business. I'm happy we got Robinho and all...but our problems are elsewhere.

From the official site:

QUOTE
Massimiliano Allegri’s analysis at the end of Milan’s match against Catania: "We are on the right track, but we still need to improve. Tonight, the basic problem was that we didn’t play qiuckly enough, our game lacked intensity. Furthermore, we couldn’t handle Catania’s counter-attacks. Our players on the wings left too much space at back, leaving Pirlo alone in front of our defence. Unfortunately, we have to play every three days, this is something we still need to get used to. Our game, based on ball possession, takes a lot out of the plyaers. Boateng? He did well, he complements perfectly our midfield department. He’s been a great signing for the club. Obviously, we were expected to win today’s match, just like the one against Cesena, but I repeat that we have to be patient. We try to play a good brand of football, and because of this maybe we are not as efficient as we could be. We have to improve from this point of view.”

We've had the same problem for the past 3 years now. We run around in possession and are exhausted. Teams sit back and soak up pressure, and since they're less tired they launch attacks quick..and we're caught dead.

F@ckin annoyed with this shite. I don't know what it is that needs to be done. But we need our three soloists up front to start doing some hard labour.

We've got three top players who in most other teams are good enough (have been good enough) to have the entire setup dedicated to play for them. They need to stop talking 'team' and play team.

I don't envy Allegri one bit. Carlo suffered making R80 and Kaka play in the same lineup. Mourinho couldn't fit Lampard and Ballack in the same lineup. He still doesn't know what to do with Kaka...so this is a really tough time to be Milan's coach.
