I really hope we sign him. With him, Kaka and Gila we would have very energetic and young attack. I just hope that I won't be disapointed AGAIN (mostly after Zambrotta and Ibra)! MILAN WAKE UP, BUY AND DON'T WAIT TOO LONG (WE HAVE ENOUGH MONEY AND WE DON'T NEED TO WAIT FOR THE CL - because with players that we have now, we won't win scudetto - hope I am very wrong)! It would be perfect if this year we buy Sobis and Ronaldo (better solution that Iaquinta) and sell Amoroso and Borriello, so that we would have two 1.strikers (box) Inzaghi, Gilardino and two 2.strikers Sobis and Ronaldo. Next year we sell Ronaldo (but if he performs well we can keep him for a season or two (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) and get Torres and the year after when Inzaghi retires we buy Huntelaar (box striker) from Ayax to replace Pippo. 2006/2007: Inzaghi, Gilardino, Sobis, Ronaldo 2007/2008: Inzaghi, Gilardino, Sobis, Torres (+Ronaldinho?) 2008/2009: Gilardino, Sobis, Torres, Huntelaar (+Ronaldinho) With this we would have each season two 1. strikers and two 2. strikers with delux of Kaka, Gourcuff (in the first two seasons) and Ronaldinho (from the third on) in our attack. Guys if we won't to win everything in each season we have to have 4 attackers and 2 offensive midfielders. CL, Scudetto and Coppa Italia (yes even that (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) = more than 60 games in one season, not including national games, injuries... - so we need so many attack mineded players. p.s.: In addition to that we will HAVE TO BUY DEFENDERS, SOME MIDFIELDER AND A NEW GOALIE. In this 3 seasons I mean (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) !

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 16 2006, 02:04 PM) Sorry to say this guys, but I highly doubt Milan are after Rossi, Tevez or even Sobis. That's just media speculation. I really hope I'm wrong, cause I wont of them more than you do. Yap...we're never going to get Tevez, Rossi or Torres. I don't know about Sobis, but I have a feeling he might be the surprise...

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 16 2006, 03:04 PM) Sorry to say this guys, but I highly doubt Milan are after Rossi, Tevez or even Sobis. That's just media speculation. I really hope I'm wrong, cause I wont of them more than you do. Well, actually there hasn't been any rumour about Milan wanting Rossi, just that Rossi wanted to come to Milan, so I'd say the chances of him being a Milan-player for this season is about 0%. Torres is a confirmed interest, and has been for a very long time(2-3 years), but I just can't see that deal happening. There's just way too many factors standing in the way. Tevez is another player that I feel is a long shot. Can't see that transfer happening either, but then again there's still 2 weeks until the window closes and absolutely EVERYTHING can happen until then. Then we have Sobis, which I actually believe is a valid rumour. Leonardo's great contacts in Brazil along with the similarity of Kakás transfer 3 years ago, are the things that make me believe the most. Plus, the proposed Ronaldo-deal has probably fallen apart, which I think will see Milan chase after Sobis. Now, this is of course only my own thoughts and speculations... @Diavolo: I think you're underestimating the quality of this Milan-squad. To buy those kind of high quality attackers and having players like Sobis and Huntelaar on the bench for most of the season as you're suggesting, would just be wrong. And then you want to add Ronnie to those players? It would create disharmoni like h*ll within the squad. In the future we surely need to buy some defenders to replace Maldini, Costacurta and possibly also Cafú but don't forget we have a lot of quality defenders already, even if some of them are closing in on retirement. I'd love to get a player like Gallas this summer, but if we didn't, it certainly wouldn't be the end of the world.

Last season was a demonstration of how weak our defence looked like .. It wasn't up to par w/ what we have come to know as the solid Italian defence. Do you honestly think that the likes of Bonera and Favalli can keep Ronaldinho, Henry, Adriano, etc .. quite, not to mention Shevchenko .. ?? I think it would be the end of the world of 'competitive competitions' .. If we go on with (hurts to say this) Maldini and Costacurta as our reliable duo. I like the Nesta and Kaladze partnership, but it's a long season and you never know what might happen as the season is long ..

If Maldini gets back to 100% again he will be the best in the world again... Who said Maldini is weak now? Forget his age, just look back at last season before he got injured... He was top notch! He just faded away after he got injured. With Nesta, Maldini, Bonera and Kaladze in our defence, I'm more than content for now! We will replace those who retire next season. No need to get all nervous now. Our only weak point is our attack! We need to get a top notch striker and we will be more than fine for next season. Then we'll show the world who's boss! Bring it on! Forza Milan!

I think our defence is fine, but we absolutely need another right back, like Oddo for example. If we get him then we might aswell sell Simic to Torino or somewhere else and our defence should look like this:
RB: Cafu, Oddo CB: Nesta, Kaladze, Maldini, Costacurta, Favalli, Bonera LB: Serghino, Jankulovski
Not to mention that Bonera can play in the right wing just like Favalli and Kaladze can play in the left one in case of emergency.
