De Jong will probably leave (apparently he is a close friend of Seedorf), looks like Arsenal and QPR are interested (QPR has Taarabt, who is still of interest to Milan). And we are still after Rami.

In any case, Seedorf goes and Inzaghi comes. Wonder if Inzaghi would last more than a season with us and our squad.

If Kaka leaves, one of Balo or DS or Abate is sold; Milan would have sufficient room to bring in a good player. As things stand, we are not in a position to compete with clubs that have European football on offer, as a minimum that is.

The way I see it, he was going to get sacked even if we made EL, and I seriously doubt CL was an objective by the time he took over (we were too far away and the team was in disarray). Of course, I don't have inside knowledge (I base my assumptions on what is reported in the news, and we all know how accurate that is). However, I believe that my theory is plausible.

Inzaghi? We will have to see. The squad is not that great (to put it kindly), other Serie A teams have become stronger in the last couple of years, and Pippo has zero experience coaching Serie A teams. OTOH, Pippo may have what it takes, and our actions so far in the transfer market look promising. So maybe, just maybe, it will work. If nothing else we may finally see more space for younger players. Also, unlike his predecessors, Pippo appears to enjoy the full support of management (it looks to me like Seedorf and Galliani were at odds from the start, and IMHO Berlu was ready to sack Allegri a year before it happened, Galliani plus an amazing comeback saved him - until Sassuolo). So Inzaghi may survive a second year even if we fall a little short of CL.

Agreed. However, hopefully we are not selling DS or Abate, Balo I care less about (though if we lose him we need someone we can trust).

Adel has the quality in his locker to be a world beater. He has pace, skill, and can finish.

He needs to work on his team-play, it's his only weakness. If he can be harnessed in the right way he could be a truly exceptional player. Even his attitude is good, it's just his decision-making at times which isn't.

No, not assumptions. The guy was sacked due to his "way of doing things", especially due to his relationship with a few key players in the locker room. It's a fact that Silvio had dinner with Galliani and some of these players (namely Bonera, Montolivo and Abate) where they expressed their concerns in regards to Seedorf. And we all read Silvio's statements in that nursery home where he apparently met people "who could handle Milan's locker room better (than Seedorf)".

All these and other things have been reported all over the media, and no-one has denied anything. On the contrary, they all proved to be true as Seedorf was indeed sacked as they suggested months ago.

Baseless assumptions are those made regarding the calciomercato, where journals write all kinds of crap just to get people interested. But what happens inside the club and around the team is different, as there are plenty of people who can provide and leak any kind of information.

Perhaps I tend to trust news sources a little less, as small problems can be amplified and rumors can be spoon-fed to promote someone's agenda. Also, in these situation I tend to look for "cui bono", and Galliani is the one that had a problem with Seedorf from the start (as the decision to sack Allegri and bring Seedorf weakened his position with the club - in fact, for a while there were even rumors that Galliani was on his way out). I think Galliani was quick to leverage issues such as the unhappiness of some of the players, and managed to turn Berlu around (one reason for which I believe Galliani is anything but stupid). Seedorf did not help himself by being stubborn and perhaps even a bit arrogant.

How serious is FFP? If this is an indication, the answer is "not that much". IMHO, the fines imposed by UEFA on PSG and Man City were relatively light (given how deep their pockets are), and now it looks like UEFA is back-paddling. Bottom line, it feels like UEFA's action will amount to a "slap on the wrist".
