QUOTE (Danny @ Sep 18 2010, 02:53 PM) tbh, the right coach can make a team great overnight. I've seen it happen time and time again.
This is not me saying Allegri sucks, but generally I find the start a manager makes, by and large, reflects the chances of success for the rest of their time.
If they start well over the first month or so, you can probably assume overall they'll be a success. If their first month is poor, overall they'll probably fail. That only happens in these circumstances: 1) The players and the manager are the same. Share same oppionion on how football should be played, same philosphy same mindset same everything. Then its easy. or 2) The manager gets to buy the players of his choice that suit him and his philosophies. Allegri got neither. So he needs to time to see what works and what doesn't. The players need time aswell to see what the manager wants and doesnt.

QUOTE (elcordobez @ Sep 18 2010, 10:53 PM) Well we had attacking momentum for a very long period during the 2nd half,i don't think he wanted to mess that up with a sub,i think for a good 20mins we had chance after chance. it was clear that inzaghi was too exhausted to play, and he and ibra actually cancel each other out, i don't think it's a good idea to play them on the same time...

QUOTE (han2503 @ Sep 18 2010, 08:49 PM) Let's not get on Allegri's back for a sub, he really didn't have any good options on the bech. My only gripe is that he let Bonera stay on, I think they're sill being cautious with Zambro which would be the only logical explenation as to why Bonera started I agree (again)! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Oh i just hate to look Bonera on the RB, maybe we can try with flamini, this would gave a lot of space more for antonini on the left because flamini would cover a lot better and he will even help in those ugly counters that happens to us, and we will be more balanced at all with one more crazy runner alongside with Prince so we will cover 10 times better and flamini will even help pirlo and the hole team would be better i think. So flamini must play for me, but i also think that seedorf is important in taking the ball forward so its the only think that falls on my mind , flamini on RB with KPB , pirlo and clarence in the midfield i think this will help get us balance! What do you think?

All I can say is hopefully Robinho recovers by Wednesday. Pippo was killing me out wide and Ibra is wasted there. We really got screwed that Robinho managed to get injured the same week that Pato went down for one of his marathon recoveries

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Sep 18 2010, 10:50 PM) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Little dissapointed but its expected. Allegri's work won't be shown until november. You guys can jump up and down all day and say he's either brilliant or an idiot but it won't matter. This is still leo's team. Allegri is not a wizard, he's not going to pop in and change the team in a month. Its going to take time and he will make some mistakes to see what works and doesn't. He's our best option right now; hiddink level coaches are not realistic. And you can say all you want too, but it won't change the fact he messed up big time tonight. Playing Pirlo, Seedorf and Boateng in midfield was a mistake a Milan-level coach shouldn't do. Always play a "water carrier" alongside the creative mid and never play a game without defensive midfielders. Boateng is not a defensive midfielder, Seedorf certainly isn't and neither is Pirlo. Can you believe the amount of counter attacks Catania had tonight? I know it sounds nasty, but playing Gattuso tonight was a necessity. Seedorf is just dead weight. All he does is lose balls and never defends. Besides, why on earth did he play Inzaghi wide when Pippo can barely dribble at all? Plus the very late sub of Oduamadi and the incomprehensible entering of Gattuso one minute from full time... Duh, what douche!

What do you think? I don't think Flamini would want to play at RB, also imo, Zambrotta is our absolute best option for that position. I don't know why he didn't start today, but hopefully there is a good reason for it... If Flamini is fit next game, we should try a Flamini--Pirlo--Boateng midfield. We really need some legs in there. Imo al our problems lie in the concerns most had before the season started, the FBs and midfield. The midfield today in the first half was pretty much non-existant, Boateng running like a maniac into the box, Seedorf jugging around up the pitch, and Pirlo in no man's land. Bonera again, running up the pitch like a headless chicken, he doesn't know how to make runs that help the forward playing on his side, every cross he makes ends up anywhere but where it's supposed to, and not only that he gets caught out every time. Why? Because he's out of position, and this is something that I've been talking about all summer

QUOTE (pacang @ Sep 18 2010, 10:10 PM) last three games Milan played just created a thought, that maybe our first game performance was a one-hit wonder..
but there's still a long way to go.. I think the pressure put on Allegri with the signings made is starting to get to him. You don't play that good as a one off. Sue Lecce gave us a lot of space but still we were really good, the way the entire team moved, constantly offering Pirlo options. I believe we can get that back, but the team needs time, time I don't think we have, especially if Inter really find their feet, we could be 10 points off by the time we really click again and that is something we can't afford to have happen
