QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Dec 31 2006, 02:33 PM)
ARRRGHHH I give up !!!
You guys r too much .. Seems as though 1+1=11 in ur books.

I don't want to insult ur intelligence and repeat my post again .. one day u'll figure it out.

@han ..

We have been waiting for reinforcments for so long now. Now that the window is about to open; I wouldn't mind Baresi putting his shorts back on and lending us a hand .. Cuz that's how bad our defence is, but some have forgotten we need all the help we can get.

If Ramos was that bad .. Capello would have gotten rid of him, like yesterdays newspaper.

I'm not defending Ramos, nor am I defending Milan's transfer strategies .. I am talking logically about two football players (disregard his price please, cuz it has no relevance to the theory) who are linked to Milan .. One is a complete unkown to us and the other we have all seen play on the highest competitions in europe and the world.
While we arent the ones who decide who is coming and who isn't; we sit here piss and moan about what we are about to get, if we get such players ! My point is, why would u give a complete unknown a chance, but a first team player both for Madrid and the Spanish national team has no chance  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) .
*

You mean 1+1 doesn't add up to 11?? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Ok I think I FULLY understand what you're saying now, and I don't think I ever said I wopuldn't give Ramos a chance. Because if he does come (which is something that DEFINATELY WON'T happen) I wouldn't say I can't believe we went for him and I don't want him to play for Milan. Far from it. I just don't think he's that much of a good defender and think it would be useless to spend the ammount of money on him Real would be asking for (I mentioned the money not to ompare the 2 situations, so don't jump on me for mentioning the money (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

But let's just not get Grimi into this, he's an unknown, Ramos is somewhat of a big name player, isn't this what we wanted?? To get young talented players for the future?

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Dec 31 2006, 02:42 PM)
(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) R7 I get you. But I'm guessing what the people are saying is that Ramos if he flops could really derail stuff, while the same cannot be said of Grimi.

Secondly if Ramos is a success and plays at the level of Madrid, it's not something to swoon over, coz we all seen what he can do and it's not like he's number 1 in the world. However anything good from Grimi would be a HUGE bonus, since expectations are low. And I guess underneath..where our ego resides, we'd rather get an unknown and make him huge than think we had to use somebody from Madrid to lift us out of the abyss.

So how was Christmas?

I'm gonna add on to Capn' Jack. If we get Ramos i garuntee you it will be the same situation as sheva to chelsea. The board will put alot of pressure on Ramos and he will have to preform or be benched. Players take time to get used to the city forget the club. He might be late to practise and lets not forget he cant speak italian very well. Asking him to come here and save us will do no good. Grimi on the other hand; the board will not put as much pressure and will slowly just expect him to gradually make his way into the f11. Thirdly, Signing Ramos and shoving him into the f11 will be an insult to our other defenders. They'll think what is the point of trying when all our team does is just find an amazing defender and bring him here. They'll b*tch and moan till they get transferred. I say right now the happiest man in milan is kalac. After pretty much having no chance of playing at all, he gets to have a few matches which are considered important. I dont think we will buy a goalkeeper in January since it will be pretty much saying to kalac, nice job but you know your just not good enough so cya later. Last thing if Ramos is bought for lets just say 35m. He'll develop and ego and have the set of mind thinking that he'll be f11 and will be the new paolo. If anyone deserves paolo's place its either gattuso or nesta as captain, with kaka being a candidate later on. my 2cents feel free to comment. sorry for the grammer (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) and have a happy and delightful new year.

Seedorf for Captain. May the Dutch legacy live forever. Oh my god if Seedorf retires we don't have a Dutchman left anymore. SACRILEGE!!!!

I'm not so worried about Kalac, coz most people seem to think he's second choice, when IN FACT he's third choice. Abbiati is our second choice keeper and right now he's on loan to Torino. So if Dida does retire, Abbiati is not too much of a catastrophe to keep as first choice, for a season while we occupy ourselves with more serious matters like buying ourselves a defence and a midfield. One saves matches and the other wins it.

I think the whole goalkeeper problem is overrated (just a little bit though...I want Gigi too) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I think Clarence has a dew more years left in him, and even though I like the idea of him being captain, Rino is definately Paolo's successor, and I think he showed his value to us when he returned from injury and the whole team was lifted up just by his presence

No no no...I wouldn't trade Pippo unless MVB offered to put his shooting boots back on.

Pippo is one of those players the defenders cannot afford to mark out of the game. Besides, don't forget we might go up against Bayern. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)
