Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani hopes his side will avoid Barcelona in Munich’s Champions League draw on Friday December 15.

The Rossoneri will play Lille at the San Siro on Wednesday, but have already qualified for the last 16 as the winners of Group H.

“We hope we can avoid Barcelona in the next round,” said Galliani on Wednesday evening.

“We already met them last year, but I believe they are the most dangerous opponents we could find in the next round.

“However, we also have a 20 per cent chance of finding Real Madrid,” added the former Lega Calcio chief.

“Eto’o and Ronaldinho? They are great players that along with Lionel Messi form the strongest attack in the world – but they are impossible transfer targets for us,” he concluded.

I'm 50 50 on who I want us to face part of me wants to get an easy side, like Celtic, and a part of me wasnts us to get Barca or Real, so it will push our managment to make some sort of effort in the transfer window

we should fear any team we play cuz the way things are going we are underdogs no matter who we play, ya out of the last 16 we probably have the weakest squad, the least motivation (with the exception of kaka the rest of this team dont put enough effort) and the worst form.

Oh dear... You think from now 'till Februrary things are going to remain the same? I would worry more of the remaning Serie A games 'till the break than who we're going to face next round. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

We're being overly drammatic now aren't we? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Milan will never be underdogs, no matter what form they are in, it's just the way things are, we will always be the European giants.

This game shouldn't be taken as a point of reference, we looked like we where getting some sort of semblance of order against Cagliari and Messina in Serie A, let's see if we can build on that starting in the match against Toro.

We just have to wait fot the xmas break before we start coming to conclusions about how we will get ***** in the CL.

If we could just at least recover Rino and Dida after the break then that would be a huge plus, if the management make some smart buys, then that would be another plus, and if the team start getting into shape and regainind form then there is no doubt that we can somewhat revive our season, even in Serie A

we can be drawn with one of the following teams, they all finished second in their groups and aren't italian, obviously.
porto
celtic
r.madrid
psv
barcelona

looking at their results, they are all quite inconsistent, but i'd prefer one of porto, celtic or psv. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

That's what I thought. If our injured players are back and our team starts to fight we can still beat any team in the world in 1 or 2 matches. But we have no team to win the Scudetto....well obviously we don't....

Exactly, we are practically the same team we where last season excluding Sheva, we can still beat any team in the worl if we make some sort of effort and put up a fight.

Right now the situation with the injuries isn't helping at all and neither is the fact that we have a thin bench that has no depth to cover for all the injuries.

If we want to go far in the CL this season then we need to recover our injured players, make use of the January transfer market, regain some form and show some some b@lls when we play. We are way to complaicent at the moment. Last nights game was a little run out imo, everyone was jogging around doing nothing. I agree about the team being complacent in our previous games, during this season. We havn't changed much from last season, when our team was obviouslly falling apart.

We lost against Lille .. wow .. I didnt bother to watch that match; whats the point, we were threw 2 weeks ago .. Which makes this match a practice match (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

But to make use of our qualification; we would have to bring in 2-3 players .. That is inevitable, let's just see who we draw against, I'm guessing that will decide who is coming (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

...but I don't think we will face Lyon. Barca is bad, but something stinks about Real and the Fat One.
