QUOTE (Danny @ Jul 10 2014, 03:09 PM) *
Banega is the only name linked with our midfield which is pretty poor given how desperate the situation there is.

And that has been my point from the start when Iturbe was first mentioned, and then even worse - Cerci, every summer we waste so much time looking at attacking players, players we have no hope in hell of being able to afford, all while the midfield and defence have slowly crumbled to the proportions that they have gotten to now.

We signed Menez, we have SES, Honda, Balo and Pazzo as of right now who are all good enough for a season where we only really have one competition to really worry about.

While in midfield we've lost Monto for practically the entirety of next season, and only De Jong a Poli are good enough to really be starting games regularly for us in Serie A. Muntari and Essien are both terrible and Cristante is a big question mark, I personally think he's too green to be relied on, we should really think about sending him on loan to a Serie A club where he can get some quality playing time imo.

fwiw we agree entirely here. We do seem to get linked with the fashion players and not the meat and two veg players we actually need.

We don't sign the spine of a team, we seem to get the arms only.

Madzukic replaces Costa at Atletico. That one is officially dead. And suggests I may have been a little hasty saying Atletico would fall to pieces after losing the likes of Costa. Mandzukic is a very fine capture for them.

I think Iturbe had a better season than Cerci. He has more class, he's faster and much younger. It's an investment, wheras Cerci is not. He's another Matri, nothing more.

Well, you guys just speak of players that we "shouldn't sing". But who should we sing? And don't come up with names like Ganso or Eriksen that just explode like a balloon full of wishes. Players you've actually know, seen play and want here.

Meanwhile Cerci spent his younger years bombing at Roma and Fiorentina. He could never really cut it, one good season at Torino does not change that. He's practically useless in a team that does not base it's entire game around counter attacks

What?

Cerci had a very good season on his debut year with Fiorentina, when he was 22/23. Yeah his 2nd season there was bad, but he's followed it up with a very good season and incredible season at Torino. But, God, he had 1 bad year and it makes him a bad player?

I suppose you think SES is actually good?

No man, I don't think we should "sing" anyone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Matri to Genoa is official.

Galliani: "Cerci? Who knows. Vrsaljko is not coming. Niang is staying cos Inzaghi thinks of him as a utility player that can cover different positions. Zaccardo has many offers but none of them satisfy him. Robinho has only one city in mind (Orlando) and we want to please him. I like Jackson Martinez"

Galliani also had dinner with Rami, who apparently is willing to reduce his wages in order to cover the €500,000 gap.

Don't worry, we won't sign cerci. We can't even give 500k for matri (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Until we sell someone for actual money, we won't bring anyone in. Only thing galliani can do is get rid of the deadwood and reduce our wage bill.

If we manage to do that, that will be a good mercato in itself.

absolutely necessary. Can you imagine what san siro is going to look like this season? I can less than 10k fans.

Galliani is a cancer to this club, i hope we finish 8th again so berlusconi either sells or makes dramatic changes. As long as galliani is the executive director of this club, we will continue down this downward spiral of hell.

Form always matters. Your message has good intentions, but it was a bad way.
