yeah i agree with you, but he can be strong in centre, he can take costacurta's place and have capitano as LB and by the way where is Nesta?
our mid looks good and upfront those two together just don't work.

Gattuso is apparently suspended from this match. it was on the official site that he will probably step in for Rino. I'm not so sure about this though, If it was Seedorf's place he would be taking over then I'm fine with it, but with him next to Pirlo and Seedorf is not such a good idea, not one of them can be called defensive, sure they know how to steele balls, but Gattuso always provides that extra space for Pirlo to work in, I'm sure Gourcuff can't do that.

So apperantly we'll have something like this

Gourcuff--Pirlo--Seedorf
------------Kaka----------

I think that is way too offensive, sure it's an exciting formation with all those number 10s in the midfield, but it would be something I would try out against Treviso or some other team that doesn't know how to score, but not Lazio.

I think that Brocchi would be a safer option, he is the one that is most similar to Rino

Agreed. I think Carlo will let Brocchi play.

For Sunday, my 11:

Dida; Simic, Nesta(?), Maldini(?), Serginho; Gourcuff, Pirlo, Seedorf; Kaka; Oliveira & Inzaghi.

Note1: Oliveira to start along with Inzaghi. Gilardino played a lot minutes on against France, so he might be tired for Sunday. Inzaghi played only the last 5min.

Note2: Simic/Bonera/Cafu... for RB. Cafu is old to play against an angry Lazio (with -11). Bonera is too young to start now in the first 11. I'll go for the croatian one.

Note3: I don't know if Nesta and Maldini are totally 100% fit for Sunday.

Note4: NO BROCCHI. He's def' not Milan class. He may be a great milanista and have a lot of fans, but hey - let's face the truth: he's no class.

I think that Pippo should be put on the bench since we have the CL match to worry about on wednesday, and Pippo is much older then Gila, we need him freshfor Wednesday. Gila is styill very young I'm sure that he can handle another match so soon

Agree, but Simic should not attempt to attack on the wings, that should be left to Serginho, he should stay back and help in the defence since we are still very fragile in that area

I don't know, I think Billy might play, but I don't know if it will be for Nesta or Maldini. Maybe both won't even play and Simic will play in the centre and Bonera as RB with Serginho as LB. I think this is the one we will use, since Carlo probably won't want to risk Maldini or Nesta aggrevating anything this early in the season.

I think Brocchi is the best option, he is the most similar in characteristics to Rino, and that midfield you mentioned will leave a lot of pressure on our fragile defence. Last season we might have afforded to conceed 1-2 goals in a game but we were scoring a lot, so it didn't really matter, but this season will be different especially until Oliveira starts to gell well with the team, so for now I would opt for a more solid midfield, that will help out in defence

I'm sure that Carlo knows more then us, but I'm also pretty sure that Gourcuff can't do what Rino does, that's why our best option is Brocchi. sure that formation with Gourcuff would be more exciting but this is Lazio we are playing, I say we reserve that one when we play Catania or some other, just out of serie B team

I agree. I think Brocchi is underrated, and has always done well when called upon (not to mention his excellent season with Fiorentina). Sure, bring Gourcuff on if things are going well, but we need to make sure we collect all 3 points from this game and we're going to need balance in the midfield to do that.
