If we do sell him for that kind of money then that's the biggest jump over the gun I've ever seen. At least loan him for the rest of the season. See how he does with another team and most importantly, different medical personnel.
It's just sheer idiocy to sell him now

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 18 2012, 04:50 PM) Pato's burned, nothing can be done about him. He'll spend the rest of his career in Brazil, or maybe sign for some mid-level Spanish club like Betis. He'll be Ricardo Oliveira/Rafael Sóbis level at best. ... Or maybe we won't sell him at all. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I don't believe that. Those players were always medciore at best. Pato has the potential and talent to be great. His body has given up on him right now, but if he can manage to recover from that he can still be great. Which is why giving up on him now is the stupidest decision ever. Whcih yes, makes me wish that we had cashed in last season if it's going to come down to this

QUOTE Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore has surprisingly stated that he one day expects to play for Italian giants Milan. While he recently rejected January links with both Milan sides, the Argentine has left the doors wide open for a Diavolo switch at some point in the future. “Sooner or later I will play in the Rossoneri shirt,” he told Italian magazine Chi in an interview. “I’m sure of that. “I have a splendid rapport with Vice-President Adriano Galliani and director general Ariedo Braida. I often dine with them, away from prying eyes, when I’m in Milan. “I miss Italy and I love your country, while Milan are magic. First I want to win with PSG, but after that I will wear the Milan shirt.” The creative midfielder, who left Palermo in August 2011 for Paris Saint-Germain at a cost of €43m, has had his form problems in the French capital this season. http://www.football-italia.net/28594/pasto...re-milan-future

I don't think we can foresee what will happen. It's easy to make such predictions now that everything seems so somber and grim.

Good to know. For all I know, Pastore can turn out to be very good.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 18 2012, 07:47 PM) I though you didn't rate him very highly a couple of years ago. Or maybe I'm just imagining stuff. People used to rocket him sky high; sure, he was decent back then and now he's pretty good. Still not exactly brilliant, but with our situation he'd do nothing but good.
