And Kaka gave a similar interview after leaving Milan. I believe both.

Thiago: "Cassano to Inter? I feel perplexed. I didn't expect him to join the rivals. Berlusconi? When he blocked my transfer initially I was rather puzzled. But I was calm, as I was very busy then training with Brazil".

Link

Also, he must really hate #4. It was free here when Kaladze left and he didn't choose it. Now at PSG it's still free and he picks #2.

He must have been wearing that against his will. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Actually the #4 was occupied by BiĊĦevac. He only recently changed to Lyon, so Thiago couldn't have picked the number. At Milan there is a different tradition with the #4. Thiago apparently wanted to avoid being part of Kaladze's legacy.

But I don't think he has a problem with the number...

Thiago is one of the classiest players we've had the pleasure of having in this club. A few short years with us and I still don't hesitate to put him in the same bracket with the likes of Seedorf, Gattuso, Nesta, etc

He certainly could have made this level/league. It really hurts not to see him play for us.

I think he's proven himself even more now that he was sold. It's comforting sort of to see that he still thinks about Milan. Maybe if PSG doesn't work out great for him we could see a return

Could have made this league? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Man, this league was made for him! A player possessing Silva's mental toughness, perfect physique, speed, vision, game reading ability and humble personality is a perfect, perfect fit for the most demanding defensive league in the world. Too bad it had to come to this.

3-4 more years like this, and he'd have been near Nesta level. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Sadly, I have little hope of him returning.

For me, I've yet to see anyone in the same league as Maldini, Nesta and Costacurta. On top of all the physical and technical qualities, they had a certain style that you can't learn. I didn't see much of Baresi, but he also seemed to be more about the grit than style. While players like Nesta and Maldini balanced grit and style like they were ancient Greek Gods or something... Superb amount of strength tempered with grace.

Maldini-Nesta of the mid 00s (2003-2007) were maybe the strongest CB pairing ever.

Yep. Not that I disrespect Thiago, but he really can't be compared to Sandro, Paolo, Billy or Franco.
