Again Cicinho is young and a great player who could adapt. We seem to like old defenders though.

I'd say get him but theres a 90% chance Milan won't.

I think Don Silvio is still in dream land thinking about Ronaldoinho.

Salgado? No...hmm...

Anyway guys, relax a bit, cause Milan ain`t gonna get Chivu, Cicinho, Gallas or Oddo. We are well covered, so let does players change to our opponents. I`m sure the 35 year old Serginho, the 36 old Cafu, 38 old Paolo and well our fresh 40 year old youngster Costacurta roll once more - our four defenders have all together 149 years. And be aware we also have Simic, Favalli,...!

Now for serious...it`s over I think. No more defenders, no more attackers will come... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

What you said IS serious. It's a serious issue that demands serious attention.

Yes, it is a very serious issue...and I`ve done some minor calculations, just like I did (and warned about it) at last season`s end - our 11 defenders (Dida, Kalac, Simic, Kaladze, Favalli, Serginho, Maldini, Costacurta, Nesta, Bonera and Cafu) have all together 364 years, or better the average age of our defense is about 33! I only have to say...GOOD LORD, please send down a young one!?

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) dst ur as bad as Galliani...u need 30 year olds too...I guess it's coz u know that by the time Oddo needs to retire, you won't have any competition to walk into that team...but with Cicinho hmm..things ain't so rosy now huh??

Personally I think Cicinho is young..and he can learn easily...if Pirlo defensive abilities can go up in leaps and bounds, I hardly doubt the abilities of Cicinho, what I mean to say is...sure Oddo is tried and tested, but Cicinho is definitely the man for the future, he'll learn all about defense, he's got Cafu and I'm sure they'll get along just fine...

Besides I think it is a team that does not have wingers in MF that needs wingbacks the most, esp with the attack we've got we'll need all the offensive push we can get, our central defense will be fine once, Kala, Nesta and Paolo are back. Billy also seems to have a sudden boost in standards when he is with them...

So dst, for once, not what u said...get Cicinho...

Every real game I have watched I have thought that Cicinho is absolutely awful and it seems Don Fabio agrees with me. He is nowhere near good enough for Milan. Oddo on the other hand is a decent defender with Serie A experience but his main downfall is his age, IMO he would be the better buy though.

man there's Alves and Nelson out there and you want Cicinho!!!????
I'm sure he can learn and I'd love to have him in Milan but we just can't afford to have two flank backs that can't defend!!!!! don't you see it?? do you want us to concede a billion goals just for Cicinho to learn how to defend?? I say no thanks!!! Bring Oddo in ... we need some defensive stability at last no need to make things worse ... Totally right, the only way that could work for us if we get Cicinho and want to play both him and Serginho is to have them as wing backs in a 3-4-1-2 formation, other then that those 2 as full backs (and I'm repeating myself here) is pure suicide. There would be so much space that those 2 would leave behind at the back that not even Nesta and an in his prime Maldini would be able to cover.

Your right man. It makes me really mad because there are so many players with great potential that will bend over backwards to come to us but who have we signed? Oh yes we were close to signing so many but we got squat. IMO, I don't like a 30yo def. Maybe this season he is still good but we need to replace him soon. You can see how hard Milan change the old blood by a young one.

Cicinho may be bad at def but if Ance wants him to def more, he will stay back more, don't worry. However, remember how R.Carlos dishonoured both Beck and Neuville when Real killed MU with only his attacking skill.

Many people think the best way to defend is to attack.

Come on.. give him a chance, if you were looking forward to give a chance to oliveira and the is coming from an injurie, at least cicinho played quite some games for real , and he is quite deffensive, also cafu is not that deffensive.. so we could use him , i mena at this pion i dont care how's player will milan sign, until now now it has been a very crappy sing in summer, i have no hope to see a new crack this season.
