QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Nov 1 2012, 09:00 AM) I don't know, refs don't do it, they make it possible. This Juve is nothing but consistently robbing Serie A with small and big decisions in their favor. Without such help, their "record" would have been broken weeks or months ago, just like their fake star was taken away. So true. QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Nov 1 2012, 09:01 AM) I thought they had 3 90th minute winners now? Which would be a lot considered so few games played!
I've only seen about 4 of their games though, so maybe I've not seen the super bad officiaiting. I didn't see the Catania game for one. Don't know if there have been 3 games where they won late, I certainly don't remember as many they usually either kill it off early or get helped out early. Kind of explains why they're so cr@ppy in the CL where they have no help (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) It also makes me want to point out how right I was last season when I kept telling you and Filippo that we'll se their true colours in Europe and that they weren't as good as you made them out to be (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Best team in Serie A last season? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) If you want to see a true robbery in footballing terms and why Calcio can never recover from Calciopoli, download the Catania game and you'll see the definition of this. And don't tell me it's the conspiracy theorist in every Serie A fan that makes it more than it actually is. This was so blatantly obvious that it's sickening to see. I mean look at this, the decisions shouldn't even be debatable they're so clearly wrong (in both cases) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sTQLj5dOr0

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 1 2012, 01:50 PM) And you speak so bluntly about them without practically having seen nothing? Now now, Kurt... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Nov 1 2012, 05:49 PM) I don't think that's a great comparison. Chelsea and City are struggling in Europe too. It's all about experience. If you have a bunch of players who've played no or little amounts in the Champions League you'll always find it tougher.
I mentioned that they won lots of late games. In the games I've seen they've done exactly that. Aside from Chelsea Juve haven't exactly played against any heavy weights. While City have a really difficuilt group. Chelsea's situation is different, they certainly aren't lacking in experiance consideing most of their players won it last season.

It's all assumptions right now. Juventus are in a normal group, but hey, you make it sound like it's their doing and not sheer luck!

No I wasn't talking about the group in general but their performances against the reams they faced. Chelsea were the only real strong apponents that they've faced in Europe. However the were outplayed against Shaktar and barely escaped against that other team who's name I can't spell. When you compare this to their games in Serie A where they basically bulldoze over teams or bully the ref into helping them, it's a huge contrast and speaks a lot about the quality you and kurt like to talk constantly about. I always said last season that they were a decent squad of players, which Conte turned into a great collective. Compared to our roster and star players though it was never even a competition. Terrible injury problems and bad coaching though allowed Juve to take away what should have been another Scudetto from us last season. I mean at one point last season Juve had as many draws as they had wins.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Nov 1 2012, 09:30 PM) I don't think it really matters what they do anyway. Were United and City bad teams last season? Not really, neither of those made it out of the group either. I'm not going to talk about City, but in United's case you can't really question them in terms of Europe. Yes it was a one off, aided by the massively arrogant team selections on Fergie's part

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Nov 3 2012, 10:49 PM) It's going to be up to us to keep our unbeaten record in the books. Or maybe Lazio. Our record is at stake, for Christ sake! But the goal was scored from a offside position, right?
