The more Kaka stayed at Madrid in this window, the more I felt we'll sign him. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) At this point in time I'd give it an 85% chance, maybe even a tad more. Everything should be clear later today, but with him in, and the players we've signed, few, if any, can say that we've had a bad transfer market. The only thing is that it doesn't make up for the loss of Thiago Silva, as Danny said, our defense is at par or even worse than that of Barcelona/Madrid. Not a single leader in the back, a marshal of defense. But that's just how it is.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 31 2012, 05:18 AM) I still don't see it happening. If we were going to make a last minute offer to Madrid for Kaká, then we would have waited just one more day before giving shirt #22 to Bojan. IMO this little, "irrelevant" fact seals it. Then again it could all have been part of the plan. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The sneaky devils we have running the management, this giving the #22 shirt to Bojan could just be another ploy, another trick in the bag. Like I said, we'll know for sure tomorrow. If Kaka doesn't come here, then I hope he surely is prepared to firmly warm the Madrid bench. But all the recent happenings, Kaka's father coming to Milan, the player himself un-following Real Madrid on Twitter, and the rest of the news and speculations, I'd give it a fair chance, we signing him.

This is how things could be, considering we know little:
1) Like I suggested earlier on, it could be a tactic. With giving Bojan the #22 we sent a signal that we can live without Kaka and that he isn't an absolute necessity - meaning we made us some space at the negotiating table. All of the sudden Milan isn't the one under pressure, but Madrid, who are looking to offload a big earner while their best buyer isn't that into this deal. So they either have to swallow it or make another offer.
2) Could be what X-O's telling all along; no deal will be made.
3) Maybe even Kaka doesn't mind getting another number? He didn't play with the #22 for quite some time.

Why don't we just swap Mesbah for Ziegler. I think everyone would be happy.
