Thanks drucurl.

From the highlights we don't look that bad. I didn't watch the games but from the videos it looks like we had more chances and dominated the game. I could be wrong and these are defenitely not the best games to make predictions on but I continue to be optimistinc, especially after I saw De Sciglio, El Shaarawy and Boateng.

I thought we DID look good actually. I was VERY impressed with the abilities of the youth players....I wish we didn't buy crap like MESBAH, MUNTARI, ACERBI and TRAORE.

Acerbi is terribly slow and as I've been beating this drum for sometime now....WE NEED A FAST TECHNICAL CB WITH GOOD POSITIONING....Palacio thoroughly r@p3d him for pace.

Not impressed at all with him or Traore...but then again energy players like him can look world class in one instant and terrible in the other.

Really sorry for posting twice but I'd like to see us with Pato, Calvano, Carmona, De Sciglio, Albertazzi and our Beretta.....FAR MORE than the mediocrity brigade we've become...even if it means missing out on Europe for a season or two.

Barca were a bit of a joke during Real's dominance in the early part of the millenium but they stuck with their youth products and have become formidable. Arsenal, if they had more financial support and perhaps a board that cared about more things than money, would have been in the same position if their kept their youth product graduates.

If we did that at least it would show that we had some form of direction.

+1. which makes me wish we'd at least tried and bought another Silva type from Brazil. now the transfer market over there is closed and we're stuck with what promises to be another Bonera for the next 10 years (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (OK I know you can't judge after 1 game but if he's slow, he's slow).

On a side note, LMAO @ Lucio's blunder. perfect first game for Juve!

Dede is great, but not technical, he's more a Lucio player.

I'd be content with that. as I've been saying it for while, it's almost impossible to find another one like Silva any time soon.

I'm waiting to see Galliani's skills in luring good Brazilian players without Leo's help. it's funny how he always gets the credit for Silva (God knows how many times I've heard this: "who was Silva before Galliani brought him to Milan?"...) where in fact according to Silva himself, Leo was the reason he chose Milan. just like Pato and Kaka.

I think we'd have had a good chance of signing this Dede dude if Leo was still around. but he's not so we won't sign him and the excuse will be as always, FFP (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Yeah but Dede just signed a new contract extension and costs around 15-18 million Euros, which is very high for Milan to spend on.
