First friendly. Enjoy dry.gif

I wont be watching it. Don't want to see us steam rolled by juve and inter.
Bluesummers
potential lineup:

4-3-1-2

abbiati
Abate-mexes-acerbi-antonini

Montolivo-ambrosini-nocerino

Boateng

Cassano-Robinho
d'Arc.LP
I'm not sure Montolivo got back to Milanello from his vacations...

Still, I believe we're going to win this one. We don't have Favalli to win it for us but we still have Yepes.

Aren't Mexes and Cassano still on vacations?

Nowhere near enough Eman in that lineup

I don't think any of the internationals have returned, or are anywhere near ready to play. If I were Allegri I'd send the Primavera for all these friendlies. No point to them aside from risking injuries to important players like last season
d'Arc.LP
23 called up players by Allegri for TIM Cup

Goalkeepers:Amelia, Narduzzo, Pazzagli.
Defenders: Albertazzi, Acerbi, Antonini, Bonera, De Sciglio, Iotti, Mesbah, Taiwo, Yepes.
Midfielders: Ambrosini, Boateng, Cristante, Emanuelson, Traoré, Valoti, Carmona.
Attackers: El Shaarawy, Ganz, Prosenik, Robinho.

Vs Inter I'd go with:

Amelia
De Sciglio - Arcebi - Albertazzi - Taiwo
Traore - Cristante - Carmona
Valoti
Prosenik - Ganz

Vs Juventus I'd go with:

Amelia
De Sciglio - Bonera - Arcebi - Antonini
Traore - Ambrosini - Emanuelson
Boateng
El Shaarawy - Robinho

Traore is god awful...
il_diavolo_mtl
Ambro can get worse from last year?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!
il_diavolo_mtl
Traore and Ambro arn't Serie A worthy.... Point
il_diavolo_mtl
Amazing cross from Taiwo, Traore misses a surefire goal...
X-Offender
Traoré is unwatchable.
il_diavolo_mtl
De Sciglio is easily MOTM for us... Bonnera deserves mentioning too

EDIT: forgot about El Sha, who has been very very good up front despite robinho's shortcommings
il_diavolo_mtl
Pitch is horrible...

Indeed.
il_diavolo_mtl
Pepe is so juve... he kicks Taiwo in the chest, makes like he's faking, 5 minutes later he dives and wastes time...
il_diavolo_mtl
robi misses the net by a mile
il_diavolo_mtl
traore anothe foul...
il_diavolo_mtl
the field has claimed it's 3rd juventus player...
il_diavolo_mtl
Captain Antonini...atleast it's an upgrade over Ambro... tongue.gif
il_diavolo_mtl
Watching traore is beyond painful right now, there is simply no way on earth our primavera can't produce a player that can pass a ball to another 10 feet away. He has missed everything from touches to headers to passes to positioning (can be forgiven)...
il_diavolo_mtl
Albertazzi looks amazing out there, so far dominating Milito and Palacio
il_diavolo_mtl
SES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down guys, its just a friendly...its actually the first match we've played....i remember nesta having an awful preseason last year but had a great campaign....this doesn't really mean anything
drucurl
Seeing our kids is fantastic!!! wish we played them all instead of the Muntari's , Traore's and Acerbi's dry.gif
d'Arc.LP
I couldn't watch the games tonight. Can you tell me the results ?
Zed.D
Anyone got a link for SES' goal?

all the goals

Thanks drucurl.

From the highlights we don't look that bad. I didn't watch the games but from the videos it looks like we had more chances and dominated the game. I could be wrong and these are defenitely not the best games to make predictions on but I continue to be optimistinc, especially after I saw De Sciglio, El Shaarawy and Boateng.

I thought we DID look good actually. I was VERY impressed with the abilities of the youth players....I wish we didn't buy crap like MESBAH, MUNTARI, ACERBI and TRAORE.

Acerbi is terribly slow and as I've been beating this drum for sometime now....WE NEED A FAST TECHNICAL CB WITH GOOD POSITIONING....Palacio thoroughly r@p3d him for pace.

Not impressed at all with him or Traore...but then again energy players like him can look world class in one instant and terrible in the other.
drucurl
Really sorry for posting twice but I'd like to see us with Pato, Calvano, Carmona, De Sciglio, Albertazzi and our Beretta.....FAR MORE than the mediocrity brigade we've become...even if it means missing out on Europe for a season or two.

Barca were a bit of a joke during Real's dominance in the early part of the millenium but they stuck with their youth products and have become formidable. Arsenal, if they had more financial support and perhaps a board that cared about more things than money, would have been in the same position if their kept their youth product graduates.

If we did that at least it would show that we had some form of direction.

+1. which makes me wish we'd at least tried and bought another Silva type from Brazil. now the transfer market over there is closed and we're stuck with what promises to be another Bonera for the next 10 years cool.gif (OK I know you can't judge after 1 game but if he's slow, he's slow).

On a side note, LMAO @ Lucio's blunder. perfect first game for Juve!

we can buy from them, we just can't sell to them.

But i don't know if thers any good defenders in brazil currently. Dede is the only one that comes to mind
d'Arc.LP
Dede is great, but not technical, he's more a Lucio player.

I'd be content with that. as I've been saying it for while, it's almost impossible to find another one like Silva any time soon.

I'm waiting to see Galliani's skills in luring good Brazilian players without Leo's help. it's funny how he always gets the credit for Silva (God knows how many times I've heard this: "who was Silva before Galliani brought him to Milan?"...) where in fact according to Silva himself, Leo was the reason he chose Milan. just like Pato and Kaka.

I think we'd have had a good chance of signing this Dede dude if Leo was still around. but he's not so we won't sign him and the excuse will be as always, FFP rolleyes.gif

Yeah but Dede just signed a new contract extension and costs around 15-18 million Euros, which is very high for Milan to spend on.
Bluesummers
spot on zeddie.

Losing leo was truly a stupid move by our management. I mean why gamble such a good scout on a coaching position. He was happy here too.

Made him go get his UEFA A for no reason. Even the guys who assessed him at the course had doubts but passed him anyways because he had to have his credentials in order to be able to coach milan.
d'Arc.LP
I thought Leo willingly wanted to become a Milan manager and then he said that either he stays as a Milan coach or he never comes back to Milan's managment.

nah galliani pretty much convinced him into it because he had no one else.

We treated him like **** as a coach.

Re-watching the highlights, Acerbi was awful in both goals. Poor positioning and very slow.

We had enough time to snatch him up before that his contract extension.
