If anyone thinks we sold Silva and Ibra because of FFP, you're completely off-track. We sold them because Fininvest is tired of funding €70 million of losses every summer. Otherwise, we would have simply offloaded Ibra and his massive wages, and kept Silva on the €4 million mark.

I could have bet money, you would be the one making this statement. Give me half an hour. I'll post something in a thread. I'm sick of this nonsense.

I've given up. Everyone seems to be petrified when it comes to positions/viewpoints. I don't see the point in discussing this further, as almost all the arguments of both sides very clearly put pages ago.

Since we're taking sides, I'm with X-Offender on this one. Let's see Jack's argument before I continue.

So the media have been asking Galliani for a press conference. He has declined so far.

You could've easily fake a Galliani statement:

"We're fine as we are now. We have a competitive squad who is capable of doing good as we proved last year. If we weren't unlucky with the injuries we could have done much more. Milan already made some great signings this year and with the latest departures we will see what will happen till 19:00 of 31 August. Our President loves the club as he has proved over the last 25 years, the fans must be grateful with the squad he provided for us and I'm sure his old Milanisti heart will transcendent the crysis and buy someone to please the fans."

We sold Ibra and Silva because Finnivest is tired of having the 5th largest wage bill in ALL of SPORTS. We were spending 6.104 million PER PLAYER on average. This is a team that has gone (with IBRA and SILVA mind you) that went 1-4-5 against the TOP 5 of the Serie A last year. The last 2 years in the CL we went 4-5-3 in the group stages. 4-5-3!! In the last two years we went 1-2-3 in the knockout stages. That is freaking teribble. This is all while posting a loss of 69MIL EUROS.

This team was not a dynasty. Our Management gets it and they are restructuring this team to be successful. Galliani and Berlusconi have won 5 CL trophies, 6 Balon D Ors, plus however many Serie As. You want to tell me they just went stupid over night? No. In a team coached by Ancellotti with Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf, Cafu, Maldini, Nesta, ETC we finished 5th in 2008. This team has needed this re-haul for a long time. This is a project and we should embrace it instead of whining about how our poor club is hitting the tubes when its actually doing exactly what needs to happen.

What do you mean by 1-4-5, 4-5-3 and 1-2-3?
