QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ May 20 2012, 02:55 PM) That's decent enough, but the other part of the season was dreadful and I'm not prepared to blame Allegri on that completely. I think Aquilani is unstable and injury prone, and as we saw, he cannot shake his bad form once he enters the injury cycle. He's done the same with Liverpool and Juventus. Various coaches gave up on him, and I don't think he's the right choice for Milan. How can you expect a player to shake off bad form after an injury when all he got was 15 minute spells at the end of each game? Because that's all he was given. A player needs time to get back into stride, and getting bit part moments in games certainly does not help the situation. As for the signings, I think Rossi is too huge a gamble, especially if they want to stay beind Pato 100%. We'd be stuck with 2 ridiculously talented young players who can't play. Talk about frustration!! As for Strootman, if we want to buy him than Galliani has to move in ASAP. Letting the Euros start before we make any permanent offer would be a huge mistake as we all know how these things go when there's a big summer tournament.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 20 2012, 07:47 PM) I read PSV rejected all offers coming from England. Maybe van Bommel convinced both the player and the club for a Milan move. At least losing VB will be of some use to us down the road if this happens

Some news... QUOTE MILAN ARE hopeful they can hijack Marco Verratti from the hands of rivals Juventus.
Marco Verratti was the surprise call-up in Cesare Prandelli’s provisional Euro squad: while players like Milan’s Alberto Aquilani were left out, the Serie B midfielder found space and may feature in the 2012 Euro.
The 19-year-old is having a sensational season with Pescara who are fighting for promotion to Serie A. Verratti has shown qualities this year that made people believe he’s the true heir to maestro Andrea Pirlo.
Juventus are believed to be leading the race for Verratti who is also a fan of Antonio Conte’s team but according to Il Pescara, Milan and Genoa have also joined the race for the player. The price of the player is no less than €10 million and according to the report, Milan are willing to invest €12 million in the youngster.
Milan have already invested a massive fee in signing a Serie B sensation last season – El Shaarawy. They paid €10 million for half of him so it’s not off the table that Milan will agree to spend such amount. QUOTE Calciomercato Milan: assalto a Sahin!

Sahin would be the man we need. I'm all for it. Better then Ganso or any other name mentioned. QUOTE How can you expect a player to shake off bad form after an injury when all he got was 15 minute spells at the end of each game? Because that's all he was given. Look I have sympathy for the guy. But honestly...a guy like Pippo needs only 10 minutes to tell you who's the boss. Aquilani just doesn't have it in him. He's okay, he has vision, but he isn't what Milan needs. I repeat - quality over quantity. We need a quality midfielder now that we have Montolivo. A Montolivo - Aquilani solution would ensure a average Milan for the next 3 years.

A Montolivo - Aquilani solution would ensure a average Milan for the next 3 years. Comparing a poacher like Pippo to any kind of mid is just ridiculous. Strikers in general don't come into a game and change it for the most part, except for those in Pippo's mold that is. Who rely mostly on being in the right place at the right time rather than getting into the flow of the game I personally think we need a top class CM (Sahin, Ganso, who cares at this point), and 2 backup players for the position occupied by the CM as well as Boateng's position. Aqui can be the backup CM while Monto can take over for Boateng. I think we learnt our lesson with injuries this season, and so far there's been no talk of things changing on that front. We need to stock up and be prepared, another season with Urby as the AM is just not acceptable Also, I think you're getting too caught up with big name talk, the fact is, we can barely afford to pay 6m for Aqui, let alone whatever woud be asked for a real top star such as Modric and the like. Sahin, is an injury situation in himself, we can't simply get him and not think about someone to rotate him with. Plus Boateng is also turning out to be a player which is made of glass QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ May 21 2012, 06:18 AM) Justifying their wages? Brother, their wages are justified by a contract, something legit and enforceable by law. All other things are to be considered by the management (you consider them incompetent as well? well ..) Or is it you just cant stop but look at all the cons (both relevant and irrelevant)?
I am not saying you are right or wrong ... I am saying these men should have gotten respect instead of cheap swipes that you (and others) spread around painting them as sucking blood out of our world class team - seriously. What? When did I mention the merits of the leagal aspect of a contract? i don't care about that. Where the 3.5m that Rino earned justified this season? Answer me that
