It's becoming frustrating. At this point, one could argue we got just another long-term injury problem with Mexes.

QUOTE
Alessandro Nesta has confirmed that he wants to see out his professional playing career with Milan and in a ‘dignified manner’.

Speaking to Forza Milan magazine, the 35-year-old Rome-born stopper made the declaration when reflecting on how he sees himself winding down after 19 years at the top.

“I want to end my career in a dignified way, preferably with Milan. Here the level is high and you play every three days. Maybe I will cut back on the commitments, once a week may prove enough.

“Staying in Milan for 10 years was my goal - my family is settled, we’re fine here.”

Nesta joined the Rossoneri in 2002 from Lazio. Between these two clubs and combined with 10 years spent with the Italian national team, the defender has won 19 trophies.

“Football is my life - when I eat I even watch it on television. Aside from the injury problems, I am happy with my career, football has given me everything. I have taken a lot of satisfaction.”

The No 13, whose contract expires next summer, is currently recovering from a thigh injury and will return to action in the new year.

Anyone know when will he be back?

Yeah, I think he should be ready for the match against Atalanta. Though personally I'd keep playing Mexes.

Yes. Nesta will have no problem playing once a week. The only time Nesta and Mexes might come to a tussle is for CL nights.

Gotta say Nesta is still the starter for me on CL nights based on his Barca performances. Really like what Mexes is doing though.

I really can't tell. So far, Mexes played against 2 cr@ppy teams, which enables me to give a more accurate assessment.

But we already know Mexes is a top defender. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
