QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Nov 3 2011, 11:37 PM) Agree with Guardiola's reaction. It was the right thing to do. But yes, he could have managed Ibra a little better. And Ibra is a Ferrari. Maybe not a 458...but a lesser one. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) The only Ferarri that could be applicable to iBra is the Mondial 8 (IMG: http://forum.acmilan-online.com/images/smilie/embarrased.gif)

QUOTE (drucurl @ Nov 4 2011, 02:10 AM) It's all very simple. The law of the jungle. The strong survive etc. Messi wanted iBra's role and when he got it he completely dominated. iBra was a massive casualty no doubt but given the success that followed thereafter....it was arguably worth it. Rui Costa came to Milan as a highly rated player with a massive reputation at CAM. Kaka came here as a young up and commer (no porno). Kaka eventually took Riu's position and owned it so well that Rui, despite his pricetag and reputation was marginalized for the remaining years at his peak. He was no Ferarri granted but he was at least a 'vette. Similar conditions....Kaka infinitely more useful and effective just as Messi was when compared to iBra. Kaka was the face of Milan, again think Bartha think Messi. Also both Messi and Kaka being quiet and relatively humble didn't hurt their causes either. Look at how iBra behaves even within our family atmosphere in Milan Granted my correlations aren't that strong, since iBra is a premier striker and Rui probably won't be remembered in a couple of years but the general thrust is the same Kaka was superior to Rui when he replaced him as was Messi when iBra got the boot. Actually in all of this nonesense I'm more impressed with Guardiola's class by not fueling the war of words in the media that iBra simply won't let go of Also in the football racing track iBra isn't a Ferarri...probably a Porsche or Maserati but not quite crossing the 200mph barrier like the CR7's and the Messi's. Even his predecessor Eto'o was a superior footballer. Then there are guys like Kaka pre injury and $heva etc. IF Mr. 14 league goals and career CL KO choker iBra's a Ferarri then so is Robinho and Pato (both of whom are rated infinitely lower and are paid far less) who scored the same with less appearances and fanfare. All this overrating and undue accolades come from his utter dominance of Serie A. It's similar to how Mr "White Pele' " Rooney is supposedly world class but can't manage to cut it at the highest level in Europe and at the World Cup (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Agree with most of what you said (not ALL of it). good post.

QUOTE AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Luciano Moggi cried in front of Juventus players due to Calciopoli
Moggi is seen as one of the main culprits in the case and was found guilty of sporting fraud by the Tribunal of Naples on Tuesday, and was consequently sentenced to five years and four months in prison.
Juventus were stripped of the 2004-05 and 2005-06 Serie A titles for their alleged involvement in Calciopoli and were also relegated to Serie B - a decision that came as huge blow to Moggi.
"The first time I met Moggi it was immediately clear that he was a powerful person. The way he dressed and behaved. He was a different person during that meeting, though. He stood there and started crying in front of us. That's what's impressed me most," Ibrahimovic reveals in his autobiography.
"It felt like a punch in the stomach. He had always looked strong and I had never seen him like that before. He had always radiated power and strength and seemed to be in control of what happened. I felt compassion for him when I saw him in that state."
The Sweden international also voiced his frustration with the decision to take Juventus' Scudetti away from them as he feels they won the trophies because of their hard work rather than due to help from referees.
"The Calciopoli scandal is all nonsense, in my opinion," he continued.
"At least the most of it is. We didn't win because referees did us favours. We won because we worked very hard and were the best. We always fought hard and didn't need any help. It's all bulls***."
Ibrahimovic also looks back at his time at Inter and feels the reason they won trophies after Calciopoli was that the different cliques in the squad were broken down.
"One of the first things I did after arriving at Inter was speak to [president] Massimo Moratti to say that the squad wasn't united. We had to break down the different clans," he wrote.
"Teams perform at their best when there's cohesion, but the opposite was the case at Inter. Breaking down the various cliques was the biggest challenge. It's impossible to win anything if the dressing room isn't united."
The AC Milan striker's autobiography goes on sale on Friday, but the book has already made several headlines as a result of leaked excerpts.

iBra needs to stfu!! I wonder if his own words about the brutal fight between himself and gooch is enough evidence to those who laughed it off...guy is a CANCER (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) How many times have we been hearing about such things before he came? He spends all the time ragging on superior players like Messi and Xavi.....last time I checked those guys just got on with the GAME and not all of the additional nonsense this overrated $#!t brings along. If he thinks there's not enough room for him and Balo at Milan then I'll drive him to his next club.....from Trinidad if I have to (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 9 2011, 08:44 PM) Ibra doesn't decide who comes, that's your pure invention. And who's this bright, young player you're talking about? I never said he does....I'm saying that his staying here isn't the key to our success. As for the second part behold the world's GREATEST striking partnership....I'm talking about Cole-Yorke levels here (IMG: http://www.milanfan.com/forums/style_images/bullet/folder_post_icons/icon8.gif) (IMG: http://u.goal.com/37200/37298hp2.jpg)

Nah..it's his autobiography. He isn't talking on and on about it. They're posting excerpts from his book. Obviously the media is going to only post the juicy bits and not stories of probably how we helped old ladies back in Malmo cross the road. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Besides, you're giving a short schtick to Ibra at times. I understand he is full of himself...but I find it only a problem if it affects the team's unity. That has not happened. So I don't think he is the cancer you say he is. A mercenary sure. A cocky b_tard..sure. Cancer? No. Here...read thisIf it's tl;dr then I'll leave the last important quote: QUOTE In 2009, legendary Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi described him as a “great soloist,” but questioned his ability to function within a team unit. Whilst at Inter in the 2007-08 season the benefits were already clear to see, as he had the third-highest assist total in the Italian Serie A with nine, an achievement he surpassed last season with their Milan rivals AC, this time laying on 11 goals for teammates.
Conventional wisdom might still consider him a selfish player, but the facts prove otherwise, and even some of Ibrahimovic’s harshest critics have been won over. Last season, reporters were told that, "He collaborates in the defensive phase and doesn't just exploit his technical and physical ability in attack, but moves in time with the team." By whom? Arrigo Sacchi.

I'd like to post some fragments from his book : QUOTE Chapter 1: "1st time Mourinho met my wife, he said to her: Helena, you have only one mission. Feed Zlatan, let him sleep, keep him happy!”
Ch. 1: About Guardiola constantly repeating himself before the CL-match vs. Inter: "He was like a parrot and I got dodgy vibes from him."
Ch. 1: "Playing videogames was a disease to me. When I was at Inter, I would sit up until 4 or 5 a.m, sleep 2-3 hours and then go train."
Ch. 2: "After the first Scudetto with Juve, I collapsed in the bathtub. It was Trezeguet, that snake, who lured me into drinking shots."
Ch. 10: Ibra about his former agent, Carlsson: "He said that Southampton was interested in me, and I was like: "WTF! SOUTHAMPTON?!"
Ch. 10: Raiola to Ibra, at 1st meeting: "Sell your cars & watches. You have to train 3 times as much now, because your goal ratio sucks!"
Ch. 12: Capello to Ibra during one of his first training sessions at Juve: "I will beat Ajax out of you!"
Ch. 12: "Nedved was a workaholic. He would be cycling 1 hour before training. And then after training, he would run for another hour."
Ch. 12: Ibra tells about how furious Capello was after a game vs. Liverpool, where Thuram cost a goal, because he changed his man marker. "He yelled at Thuram. He kicked the massage bench forcefully and it spun towards us.Everybody was just sitting there, looking at the floor. Trezeguet, Cannavaro, Buffon, everybody. Nobody was moving a muscle, and nobody would ever think of doing something like what Thuram did again."
Ch. 13: Ibra tells about a family trip to Dubai, where his brother & mother got into a fight at 6 a.m because the brother wanted whisky.
Ch. 14: Ibra about Mutu: "This guy had partied a lot. The stories he told me! I couldn't stop laughing! It was totally crazy."
Ch. 15: Ibra tells about an argument he had in the summer of 2006 with Didier Deschamps, who was managing Juve back then. We were going to play a friendly match vs. Spezia and I had said that I wasn’t going to play any matches due to the Calciopoli case. Therefore I was sitting in my room playing Playstation. Then Deschamps came up to my room. He was furious. Deschamps: "Why are you sitting here? We have to go now." I didn’t say anything. I just stared at him. Deschamps: "Didn’t you hear what I said?". Ibra: "Did YOU not hear what I said? I will train but I won’t play any matches." Deschamps: "You better damn play! You belong to this team! You will get several fines for this!" Ibra: "Okay" Deschamps: "What okay?" Ibra: "Give me the fines then. I’m staying in this room!" hen he finally left. He was fuming, and I was just sitting there with my Playstation, while the other players went into the bus. I did get the fines. I think it was around €30.000 in total. It became total war and when you're in war you have to think tactically. I didn't have to pay the fines I got for playing Playstation. Mino Raiola did his magic and made sure they disappeared."
Ch. 17: Ibra tells about his addiction to videogames. "In November a new game came out. "Gears of War" was the name, I went totally crazy. I locked myself in. I built a playing room and I sat there hour after hour till about 4 a.m. I should sleep so that I wouldn't be totally wrecked during training, but I just continued playing videogames. "Gears of War" and "Call of Duty" were like poison to me. I needed them all the time. I needed them more and more. I couldn't stop & I started playing online with others; English, Italians, Swedes, all sorts of people. played 6-7 hours a day, and I had a gamertag. I couldn't call myself Zlatan, so of course nobody knew who was hiding behind my tag. I impressed everyone, even under a false name. I have been playing video games all my life and I'm an extremely competitive person. I'm focused & I crushed them all. But there was this one guy. He was good & he was also online during nights. His gamertag was "D" and something else. I had heard him talk because we were all wearing headsets when playing. I tried to shut up. I wanted to be anonymous. It wasn't always easy. I had adrenaline in my body and one day they started talking about their cars. D said he had a Porsche 911 Turbo. And then I couldn't take it anymore. So I started talking and people noticed. People were suspicious."You sound like Zlatan", they said. I said "No, no that's not me." Then they asked all sorts of questions, but I dodged them. "
Ch. 19: Ibra tells about him growing up idolizing Ronaldo. "I was about 17 years old. I really studied Ronaldo. His every move and his acceleration. We were many who studied Ronaldo, but nobody took it as far as I did. I didn't miss a single detail. Without Ronaldo, I think i would have become a different player. There's a video on youtube of me and Ronaldo, where I'm chewing gum & looking at him, like I can't believe that we're on the same level."
Ibrahimovic on what he found at Inter "The Brazilians sat in 1 corner, the Argentinians in another and the rest in a 3rd. It was a joke. I considered it my first big test as a leader to put an end to that situation."
Ibrahimovic on Balotelli: "I like fireworks too, but I set them off in gardens or kebab stands. I never set fire to my own house. Mario told me he was better than me, I thought he was kidding but he meant it. He's still missing a lot though." Ibrahimovic told that Roberto Mancini thinks Balotelli is among the best strikers in the world: "If he was then he'd be playing every game."
Ibrahimovic: "Mourinho won me over via sms. I had never had a manager who sent texts. So many... He showered me in attention. I need it"
Ibrahimovic "The last words Mourinho said to me [when I joined Barca] were 'And yet we will win the Champions League'. He kept his promise"
Ibra: "Galliani asked me: 'We can get Robinho, but could you play together? I said: 'He's a phenomenon, get him! We'll work out how to play"
Ibrahimovic on being moved from city to city: "If they send me to Alaska or Siberia, I'll be fine there too. I am Ibra everywhere."
