Yes, we all know Ibra is an annoying, rude, egocentric human being. You don't need to waste your time convincing us.

Ibra on his dramatic rift with Guardiola

(IMG:http://football-italia.net/pics300/ibrahimovicnews.jpg)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn't held back in his forthcoming autobiography, with serialised quotes emerging this week detailing his rift with Pep Guardiola.

Ibra spent the 2009-10 campaign at Barcelona working with the young Coach before returning to Italy in a move to Milan.

The striker has since regularly vocalised his issues with Guardiola and has now put them into writing in the form of his upcoming autobiographical offering.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet ran the opening chapter in which Ibra reflects upon his unhappy spell in Spain and how he accused Guardiola of being afraid of Jose Mourinho, at that time in charge of Inter.

“It was a childhood dream [to join Barcelona] and I was walking on air. It started well but then Messi started to talk.

“He wanted to play in the middle, not on the wing, so the system changed from 4-3-3 to 4-5-1. I was sacrificed and no longer had the freedom on the pitch I need to succeed.

“So I asked for a meeting with Guardiola - for a discussion, not an argument. I said I was being used in the wrong way and that they shouldn't have bought me if they wanted another type of player.

“I told him what a friend had said to me - 'you bought a Ferrari but drive it like a Fiat'. The chat seemed to go well but then Guardiola started to freeze me out.

“I would walk into a room; he would leave. He would greet everyone by saying hello, but would ignore me.

“I had done a lot to adapt - the Barca players were like schoolboys, following the Coach blindly, whereas I was used to asking 'why?'.

“I like guys who run red lights, not pedantic and strict rules. So I tried to be overly nice, didn't dare lose my temper.

“But after this I stopped trying to adapt. For example, at Barca, players were banned from driving their sports cars to training.

“I thought this was ridiculous - it was no-one's business what car I drive - so in April, before a match with Almeria, I drove my Ferrari Enzo to work. It caused a scene.” (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Ibrahimovic's account continues, translated via Eurosport, as he reveals his worsening behaviour when it became clear that he would be on his way out of the Catalan club.

The below except is in relation to an incident Ibra alleges took place after Barcelona's 4-1 win away to Villarreal on May 1, 2010. It was the first game after the club's Champions League semi-final exit to Mourinho's Inter.

“(Pep) was staring at me and I lost it. I thought 'there is my enemy, scratching his bald head'. I yelled to him: 'you have no balls!' And probably worse things than that.

“I added: 'You are s***ing yourself because of [Mourinho]. You can go to hell!' I was completely mad.

“I threw a box full of training gear across the room, it crashed to the floor and Pep said nothing, just put stuff back in the box.

“I'm not violent, but if I were Guardiola I would have been frightened.”

The sad thing is that the iBra groupies are going to hail him for "sticking it to the evil Pep" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) and not recognize the career douche that is iBra. I can't remember the last time ANY Milanista was so devoid of class.....yeah I'm pretty sure Guardiola regrets tossing him and winning a CL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Agreed.

Ibra has a temper and huge ego issues. But I would lose it as well if I were treated the way he says Guardiola treated him.

Well, nothing new.

How can a club that shipped off legends like Amor, Guardiola, Ferrer, Abelardo, Sergi and many more be classy?

Just because they play "nice" football does not mean they're all that. Ibra has a point. And I once read the same thing about Sheva at Chelsea. Don't buy a Ferrari if you don't have a garage to keep it in.

If their plan was not to utilize Ibra properly then why go through all that hassle, especially when you know what type of character he is.

also Guardiola's treatment was not classy at all, no matter how at fault Ibra was. If you have a problem with someone talk it face to face not treat him as if he's something you stepped on accidentally.

Well, it's never happened before, but I guess there is a first time for everything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I agree with all the 15 consecutive posts in this thread, starting from Suhail's October 6 up till now. Everything from unclassy Barcelona to egotastical Ibra, from printer to Ferrari cars, and everything inbetween. Good show, guys!

It's all very simple. The law of the jungle. The strong survive etc. Messi wanted iBra's role and when he got it he completely dominated. iBra was a massive casualty no doubt but given the success that followed thereafter....it was arguably worth it.

Rui Costa came to Milan as a highly rated player with a massive reputation at CAM. Kaka came here as a young up and commer (no porno). Kaka eventually took Riu's position and owned it so well that Rui, despite his pricetag and reputation was marginalized for the remaining years at his peak. He was no Ferarri granted but he was at least a 'vette. Similar conditions....Kaka infinitely more useful and effective just as Messi was when compared to iBra. Kaka was the face of Milan, again think Bartha think Messi. Also both Messi and Kaka being quiet and relatively humble didn't hurt their causes either.

Look at how iBra behaves even within our family atmosphere in Milan

Granted my correlations aren't that strong, since iBra is a premier striker and Rui probably won't be remembered in a couple of years but the general thrust is the same Kaka was superior to Rui when he replaced him as was Messi when iBra got the boot.

Actually in all of this nonesense I'm more impressed with Guardiola's class by not fueling the war of words in the media that iBra simply won't let go of

Also in the football racing track iBra isn't a Ferarri...probably a Porsche or Maserati but not quite crossing the 200mph barrier like the CR7's and the Messi's. Even his predecessor Eto'o was a superior footballer. Then there are guys like Kaka pre injury and $heva etc. IF Mr. 14 league goals and career CL KO choker iBra's a Ferarri then so is Robinho and Pato (both of whom are rated infinitely lower and are paid far less) who scored the same with less appearances and fanfare.

All this overrating and undue accolades come from his utter dominance of Serie A. It's similar to how Mr "White Pele' " Rooney is supposedly world class but can't manage to cut it at the highest level in Europe and at the World Cup (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Agree with Guardiola's reaction. It was the right thing to do. But yes, he could have managed Ibra a little better.

And Ibra is a Ferrari. Maybe not a 458...but a lesser one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
