Funny that, a Rangers fan doesn't think he's all that great. Blackpool fans don't seem to either given their PotY voting and they'd know better than most. Yet the 'experts' think he's worth £10m or whatever.

Not big news, but Gavin McCann has announced his retirement after failing to recover from an anlke injury. Not a great player, by any means, but always gave his all and did hs job. Will fondly remember his superb 03/04 campaign at Villa Park. He will also go down as the first man to eliminate Roman Abramovich's Chelsea from a competition with his league Cup QF goal against them. All the best Gav! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Alexsandr Hleb, Matt Derbyshire, Obafemi Martins, David Bentley Seb Larsson, Kevin Phillips, Lee Bowyer, Maik Taylor, Martin Jiranek, Marcus & Stuart Parnaby have all left small heath.

At least they're keeping all the Villa rejects that sent them down. You can have Habib Beye next season!

Hleb was on loan anyway so...

Could we get him? He's not great but a useful squad player. We could land him on loan...

That's what makes it so much better though. They weren't paying his wages, same goes for some of the other loands they had. So they've lost most of their best players without reducing their wage bill. Fantastic. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That's not a bad shout, I rate Hleb.

Was world class. I haven't seen something special from him since he left Arsenal.

Nah, I wouldn't take Hleb nowadays. He's pretty egotistical as well, blatantly wasn't trying at Birmingham, mind you who would...

Can't argue, we were the better side but things weren't going our way, we'd go through on goal trip over the ball, go through on goal the ball would flick up in our feet and go behind us, hit the woodwork - but that's standard now, the fact we hit it only once is quite good. I'd love to see our stats on how many times we've hit it this year, but it doesn't matter it didn't hit the back of the net.

Good luck to Stevenage, goal worthy of winning any match, even tonights. Obviously disappointed but we wouldn't have stayed up if we went up. Only thing is it looks like Buckle will go to Rovers now, so we will be fighting relegation again next season, no doubt.

Kurt's lot can bugger right off if they think they're signing Allan McGregor. On the other hand they can have Charlie Adam with my blessing.

Swansea 3-0 up at half-time in the play-off final. Not quite sure how, they haven't been that good.
