QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 15 2010, 02:05 PM) *
Coupling and Friends are no way alike, IMO. Coupling actually has funny moments every now and then, but mostly I don't feel like they are similar. Friends attempts to make me laugh mostly fail. Seinfield I barely have seen in my life. I don't expect it to be funny, it eyes boring.

As this is the EPL thread, I'll continue this discussion here.

Anyway, Liverpool & Arsenal in a minute, one of the stand out ties of the season usually. Just hope it hasn't come too early and we see the World Cup 2010 effect of a boring 0-0 draw.

Well. That was interesting. Joe Cole straight red (perhaps a bit harsh?) right at the stroke of halftime.

Joking aside, the games been rubbish. Think this fixture would have been better in a few months time for the neutrals.

Liverpool have just defended for 90 minutes, Arsenal passed it around with no real aim. Typical naff goalkeeping from Almunia for the goal. Borefest.

Serves him right after the Fabregas comment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I still have no idea how we got a point from this game, but I'll take it with a big grin. Started off with a draw against a big team and we're finished at Anfield for the season. Nice.

Oh, and another thing:

LOL! Good ol' wenger, never changes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I won't even have to watch EPL this season to know what the result is.

1)Chelsea
2) Man U
3) Arsenal
4) No one cares

It is predictable though Ash, Chelsea are clearly going to win it. It's not like they've only played West Brom and already got beaten comfortabley by United so far this season.

Yeah, I forgot that 2 teams haven't even played a game yet. And the fact that a team is spending 100's of millions. Then a team getting into CL who wouldn't have been expected too.

Not to pick on a league, but does this happen in Spain, bar the top 2 nowadays...

I'm not saying this is the best league in the world, but it's a bit strange to make sweeping statements like 'who cares'!

The title race, in my opinion, was almost ignored last season. There was far, far more coverage on Spurs/City/Villa/Liverpool on the race for 4th.

Most leagues just have 2 teams and it takes huge spending (Lazio are a good example) to change that. Didn't Valencia spend their way into debt to win a title too?
