QUOTE (dst @ May 30 2009, 05:37 PM) Come on! Is it a coincidence that all these three had a great team in their hands!? Out of the three only Capello has proved he is special. I can't see how any coach would fail to win something with the team these guys had in their hands and I can't see how any coach will fail to win something if we build one again.
All this experience factor is becoming an obsession. Again: Sacchi, Capello and Ancelotti, period. You can't just say that they can't be used as an example, that's autocratic. In the same sense, I can say that about any successful coach. Autocratic? Hmh,.. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Sacchi I see has been very badly misjudged here. Sacchi was a creator, inovator and a tacticall mastermind. His defense was the most balanced defense in the world, it was a defensive symphony; never seen before, never seen afterwards. Arrigo Sacchi achieved something no other coach had. It's not just the sole fact that Sacchi won, it's how he won! I don't think it's up to experience. It's just that I'm not satisfied with the course our management is setting. If Leonardo takes over - it's another step in the "Ronaldinho direction". It's a clear sign that Carletto has to go not because of the results, his lost scudettos, his unbalanced defense. It's because he didn't find a ideal system to settle Ronaldinho-Kaka-Pato and the other brazilians. I don't think Leonardo can affect or defensive gameplan in any positive way, and leaving Tassotti as assistant means also nothing.

Capello's football in 1995 wasn't also that special. In 1997 also. So what?

I don't think Leonardo can affect or defensive gameplan in any positive way, and leaving Tassotti as assistant means also nothing. I don't think you can just label them special and take them out of the equation, that's what I mean. There would be no point in arguing, we could do just do that most of the time. We agree on who Sacchi was! The thing is, we would not be talking about him now had Berlsconi not given him the chance to coach the team. There were many more experienced coaches to choose from but Silvio picked him and in his era there have been two more coaches who came in as untested (or tested and failed in Ancelotti's case) and thrived! So I just can''t see why we're so against it. I don't think Leonardo will be our coach but even if he becomes I don't believe it will be because of that reason. Berlusconi wants Ronaldinho to play but as you know Berlusconi has no problem with his favorite players not playing as long as the team is winning. Ancelotti has not been winning and he would be in too much pressure to deliver so he'd better go. Leonardo would have no problems as long as the team is winning not as long as Ronaldinho is playing.

I don't know. Leonardo is also a Berlusconi favorite. This will be the first time Milan appoints a Berlu-pet as coach. And that makes it even worse then Ancelotti, already criticized for being to close to Berlusconi/management, and to mild.

Ancelotti's already not getting the player he wants, it can't get worse than that for a coach. The day Ancelotti leaves for Chelsea and takes his own pet him with him will be a happy day for me.

Real Madrid And Milan Reach Kaka Deal - Report
Kaka is all set to play his last match for AC Milan, with a move to the Bernabeu almost sealed...
Tonight's game against Fiorentina will be Kaka's last in a Milan shirt, as the club have reached an agreement with Real Madrid, according to reports.
According to AS, Real Madrid are poised to sign Kaka for €60 million.
The deal was agreed on May 16, but Milan's executive director Adriano Galliani requested that it not be made public until now, so that the Brazilian could concentrate on the end of the season for the Rossoneri, who are still not sure of an automatic Champions League spot.
It is believed that Kaka will sign a five year contract with wages of around €9,120,000 per year. In addition, 50% of his image rights will go to Real Madrid.
The transfer fee will go a long way towards helping Milan pay off their considerable debts.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ May 31 2009, 02:57 PM) It's AS, which means no one will believe it. but after what happened in January I wouldn't be surprised if we did sell Kaka this summer. I've come to believe that what happened in January was just a stunt by Berlusconi. I don't think Milan will sell Kaka if he does not want to go.

Agreed, Berlu needed a political boost so he used Kaka as a tool. If I were Kaka I wouldn't be happy with how they used me. So personally I wouldn't really be shocked if he asked for a move, and neither would I be able to be mad that he made that decision

Not sure the Sheva story is closed. In addition, Abate and Paloschi will also be Milan players again.
