mtl, I wouldn't mind Benzema at all but I suspect he's going to Spain. Mesto...interesting idea. Hadn't thought of him.

And if you get a chance to watch the Croatian NT, watch Modric (wears the #14 jersey) there.

(Poissonpoupee te donne un autre gateau). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

EDIT: And a couple of snippets on Tuttomercatoweb.

* Milan are interested in Rijkaard (according to a report in the Catalan sports daily)
* Milan are interested in Bojan (same source as the Rijkaard rumor)

The game against sampdoria was unbearable to watch. Playing in uefa cup again...sigh.... 90% of european league matches? what do you mean?

Unbearable to watch (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) When you're in Germany one day call me and I take you too a game of Preußen Münster. If yesterdays game was unbearable for you I'm sure you'll commit suicide after that one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

OUT: Ambro (maybe; contract renewal talks are going on and no agreement yet)

Ambro's contract will run out this summer? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I personally would love to see at least one Spanish players at Milan, but Bojan [no matter how talented] is not really what we need. Barca won't sell him anyway. I wonder what makes them think we're interested in him.

eh, it's barca's mouthpiece paper. maybe it's a pr thing trying to make him look more important? The bojan rumor surprises me a little. The rijkaard one has been making the rounds for the last few days.

tutto is dreaming. Eto, adebayor or drogba. Drogba will probably be going to inter if he leaves. Wenger won't sell us anybody cheaply after the flamini incident and we wont pay 40 for adebayor. Eto, hes siging a new contract with barca. Benzema will go spain.

Only realistic foreward we can sign next season would be an italian one. G rossi, toni, cassano. I don't think we can afford any other foreign WC forewards.

I'll take chances and make my own IN and OUT story.

Ambro and Gattuso are our future captains. It would be mostly unwise to sell both and in addition part with Maldini. Who would then take over? Kaladze? Abbiati? Are they captain material?

Gattuso won't be sold anyway, after we rejected a good offer from Bayern, don't think he'll be on any wishlist soon.

OUT: Kaladze, Dida (if a good team wants him and he want's 1st team football), Senderos, Ronaldinho
IN: Panucci, Drogba, Giuseppe Rossi, Canini; big moves could be either Eto'o or Fabregas, maybe even Mancini (?)

In addition...I have one not so bright confession. Does Andrea Pirlo's story really started looking (on pitch) like Demetrio Albertini's?

Yeah, Fillipo, it does. Which is why I'm suggesting Cigarini.

What's starting to annoy me are all the Italian ragsheets and armchair quarterbacks proclaiming Milan will have some huge fire sale at the end of the season. It's as if we're expected to simply dump just about everyone and start over from scratch. You don't do that.

Abbiati, no, because he has too much baggage: bouncing around to so many different teams, openly criticizing Milan on his website years ago and celebrating with Juve. Being captain also requires at least something resembling consistent play, which Kaladze has sorely lacked as of late. That being said, I don't think Ambro and Rino will be going anywhere next season.

Kaka i'm guessing is not a candidate on your list for captaincy?

No, I project the captain candidates based on the same logic Milan does for decades - seniority.

Yes. It's not a thing most coaches in Italy decide. Of course, if the coach sells or removes from the team Kaladze, Ambro, Gattuso, Pirlo, Nesta, Pippo and Seedorf, Kaka will be handed the chance.
