Pippo is right....Berlsuconi might not be at his best right now(and certainly wasn't during past couple of years9 but I don't see any real alternative. Milan owned by some jerk who wants to play FM? No thanks!

Thing is everything we have been led to believe(Milan family, not selling best players etc) has all been a pack of lies and we're no different to any other club. In fact without berlusconi's money what is the point of him being here? I'd sooner someone take over who had some ambition and some financial clout to back themselves up. It seems berlusconi doesn't need Milan anymore.

Is £108m Kaka bid a hoax?

Manchester City sources suggest the £108m offer for Kaka is a “ridiculous” story drummed up by the media and Milan also refuse to state the figures.

“There is an official bid on the table and it has gone through all the proper channels, but I will not tell you what it entails,” said general manager Adriano Galliani.

The Observer newspaper has made remarkable allegations that Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi's media empire sparked the rumours so that he would gain positive publicity when Kaka turned it down.

If the Brazilian does quit San Siro, then the club can say it was because of a record-shattering transfer fee that more than doubles the £46m paid by Real Madrid for Zinedine Zidane from Juventus.

However, the reports in the English newspapers claim Manchester City's offer is closer to £50m than £108m.

"The reports are absolutely ridiculous and so far wide of the mark it's unreal," said a source close to City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"Kaka would command a price around that of previous world-best players. But at the moment it is difficult to pick an exact number.

"A hundred million, in pounds or Euros, is ridiculous. It doubles the previous record for a transfer and, in the current economic climate, how could there possibly be a return on that or a salary of £500,000 a-week?

“You could do so much else with that amount of money. And, whatever happens, there would be no lump sum payment: payments would be over time.

"You have to remember also that the player has not even been spoken to by us - he is simply one of a list that interests Mark Hughes.

“We merely said, 'Ok, this might be nice.' It's a process like viewing a house. If you like what you see, then you take it on a stage. It should be remembered that Manchester City's owner is an intelligent man. He will not just throw money at anything.”

Intellectual property rights are another sticking point that could be worth £20m per year for Kaka, as he already has sponsorship deals with Armani and Adidas.

Some people here are really fast when it comes to convictions of something. And some of you also have a very special choice of the things you believe and those you don't. Some article says "Milan sell Kaká for 55 million" -->You believe it. Another article says "Kakás father wants him at ManCity"-->It's a dirty lie.

Do you really believe this?A pack of lies? Hasn't there been enough prove for it in the past? Sheva came back while he could have earned more money in Arabia. We sticked to Pippo, Ambro etc. while we didn't have to. And didn't Pippo pay that confidence back in Athens? Why do so many players still feel connected with Milan although they're not playing for us any more like Rui Cost for example? Oh I know...cause it's all a lie.

I'd rather see the club in the midfield of Serie A than being some Sheiks (or Russian oil baron or whatever) toy. FACT!

But it was ok when berlusconi used Milan to gain popularity. Oh the irony.

Fact is that berlusconi didn't do what he did for the love of Milan, more so that his popularity would increase and that is a fact.

I've never been a fan of Berlusconi which I stated numerous times. And what you say...it's true. He used the club to increase his own popularity. But he also created an image of the club which we all came to like. If some other guy takes over...this will all be gone and we're simply going to be one of those newly rich clubs. Are we in a bad situation? Yes. Can it be much worse? Certainly.
