I agree. We should play with two upfront. The only player we have that can be creative against packed defenses is Ronaldinho, if he's in a good day he will create some scoring opportunities.

Only three CBs available... will we FINALLY see Darmian?? I don't think so. even if Maldini couldn't play for whatever reason, I think Darmian would still not play.

I'm 99.9% sure that Pato will start, now if it will be next to Sheva with Kaka in support or if it will be with Kaka and Dinho supporting him I'm not sure. But I'm pretty certain that Pato will start. He was rested in midweek for a reason.

I think it will be R10 that might sit this one out, and we go for the old 4-3-1-2 formation

I'm pretty confident Pato will start as he was rested against Zurich. We will see Ka-Pa-Ro against Cagliari and if things don't go well, we'll bring in Shevchenko.

The solution adopted in the derby was positive, with Kaka, Pato and Ronaldinho. Sheva did well against Zurich, Inzaghi is available for tomorrow and will start from the bench. I think that it’s fair to confirm the three Brazilians who did well against Inter, until tomorrow… (he laughs).

When we played with 2 strikers, we scored 9 goals in 3 games.
When we played with 1 striker, we scored 2 goals in 2 games.

I don't think one can argue that if we hadn't played with 1 striker against Inter and Zurich, we wouldn't have scored more goals overall. against Inter we were lucky to get all the points as we ignored an important unwritten rule that says you do not rely on a 1 goal lead in football! Inter had many chances as well but perhaps luck was on our side [like on the goal we scored which was.. offside]. but not always luck is going to be on our side. I still remember two years of complaints about luck...

Very true but in Carlo's mind the only thing that will registor is the fact that in these last 2 games we managed to keep a cleansheet while playing the xmas tree, where as when we played with 2 strikers we were letting in a goal per game (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Personally I prefer the 2 striker system, especially against these kinds of teams. Look at the winner Pato scored against Reggina, had we been playing without another striker a defender would have managed to track Pato making the run in the box and managed to cover him if we had 2 midfielders that were playing deeper, instead that defender was busy marking Sheva at the far post leaving Pato free to take the shot.

I guess we'll see what happens tonight, we can always put Sheva in and switch to 4-3-1-2 easily enough, my only worry is that Carlo will take too long to make the sub and it won't make any effect on the game
