I guess if he gets sold we can bring in Canini or promote a Primavera player (Darmian possibly? or maybe a recall for Marzoratti who has played well for Italy U23)

Come on Marzoratti isn't even a starter for the U23!

And started in the more recent U21s. He's got the #5 jersey too -- which to me indicates he's considered a regular.

Numbers don't mean anything! De Rossi got the number 10, does that mean that he's a playmaker?

I saw Marzoratti played one full game in Toulon it was against Turkey (don't know if he played against the U.S.), but he didn't play the semi final and I'm pretty sure he won't play the final, we'll see tonight ...

Paloschi wasnt a regular for the Primavera's yet he has made a semi breakthrough for the seniors

Just because Lino isnt being picked regularly dosent make him any less of a player. After all Del Piero dosent play much for the Azzurri dosent mean he is a worthless player

Lino made his debut back in 2005, surely he must have some talent

Simic dreams of Viola Tuesday 10 June, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan outcast Dario Simic is ready to leave San Siro and hopes for a move to Fiorentina this summer.

The Croatian international is currently playing in Euro 2008, but has had a frustrating year on the sidelines for the Rossoneri.

Unlikely to play a major role for the Diavolo next term, Simic is ready to leave, despite being under contract until 2010, and has called for Fiorentina to step in.

“I have had lots of offers, but Fiorentina are in pole position,” he said to Firenzeviola.it.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone yet, but I have been close to a move to the Viola in recent years.

“Two years ago and last year I nearly went there, but Milan wouldn’t let me leave. I like Fiorentina. I would like to work with Coach Cesare Prandelli.

“I feel that I am in form and I am ready to play at the highest level for another three or four years.

“Everyone improves when they play for Fiorentina. I have such desire to keep playing at my best and it would be good to meet up with Alberto Gilardino again,” he concluded.

We could now make a deal with the Violas including Å imić and Brocchi + cash for Frey.

I don't think Frey even wants to come now... but maybe we can secure something for the future... a deal for Montolivo maybe?

At this point in time there arent too many Viola players who would be willing to sacrifice CL time to play for us. Any deal for any Viola players will have to be done in a later season.

That said i would really like Montolivo

That's what I mean... maybe we can secure an option to be first in line to get him in the future!

wont happen. We'll have to wait till next season and secure champions league before thinking about signing players of that caliber.

No, wiki is silly. When I was on Chiellini's page the other day, it said he had a contract at Juve until 2021!
