There's a few problems in getting Boruc..
-He's playing for a great club already.
-He's going to get Champions Legaue football every year.
-He loves living, and playing, in Scotland.
-Celtic are always going to be contenders for a title, even with the most disasterous season they'll get 3rd.
-Certain to win trophies at Celtic.
-Loves playing for Celtic, a fan favourite, acts like he 'supports' the club, and he hates Rangers.
-Will Boruc leave a team like Celtic, who're always doing well in the league, for Milan, who don't even care about the league? I dunno.

*

Now wait a minute,...
Everything you said is true, but still,..if things would be that way, Figo would have moved in 2001 to Celtic and Zidane would have followed him.

I mean, yeah, it's pretty good to win very year one Scottish trophy, but I'm about 99% sure that at least half of the none-scottish players would trade all the trophies for Milans CL title.

Milan can get Boruc, Milan can get any Celtic player,..
(Btw. Rangers are also there, I'm sure the powers will shift soon)

Obviously it's not always been the case, and I'd even argue that giving up on the league was the correct thing to do given the circumstances. This season I see no excuse. The Euro Super Cup and Club World Cup were a total of 3 games, so there's no need to prioritise them. Considering we won the CL last year, Serie A should come first this year, but even that doesn't matter since you should be able to compete in both, especially at this stage, sacrifiing Serie A for the CL group stage!? We'll have to see what happens next season, but if our Serie A is bad again..

What does that have to do with anything? Of course we can... why does this have to mean that we will be fighting for a 4th place in the c'ship? We've done both before numerous times...

but still I dont care about Boruc.
Coz keepers like Frey and Amelia are better than him IMO.
And that one Ochuha looks very good in youtube (yes I know that they always put the best parts there) . He gives you a feeling that he's made of rubber. He might be a good choice.

Yes we can. But somehow we just let the Serie A be. I dunno why, but there has to be a reason. I don't belive in sudden changes, and Silvio was a reasonable and intelligent man ever since I knew him. So I have ruled out the possibility that our management is incompetent.

But my question was not asked cause I think we can't compete for both titles, just it seemed to me that Kurt gave up thinking we can win the CL twice in a row,.. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I think our management are clever enough to realize we had no chance for the championship. You just can't win such a race with only one great XI and they know it... that's why they're focusing in CL only. They could have spend some money and we would have been competent in both. I don't why they didn't do it but I'm hoping to see Milan heavily more active in the following transfer windows!

I don't want us to win the CL again this season. Mostly because I believe there would be no important signings if we did. We'd be the first team to win the CL (in it's current form) two times in a row. But that doesn't mean much to me cause we have been not competing for the scudetto in either of these two seasons. I'd rather see us fight for both titles next season (even if we lose) than win the CL in Moscow and then have another miserable season, which I believe is what would happen!

For what it's worth, as far as a possible new keeper goes, while I do think Boruc is good, there's something that niggles about his personality and I'm not quite sure he's Milan-quality either in terms of his abilities or in terms of his personality.

I'd prefer one of the German boys, Frey, Akinfeev, Ochoa, or maybe even Curci.

Not even for Maldini's sake? To se him ending his career with the CL trophy one more time would be marvelous...
I'm very positive that our transfer policy does not depend on wether we win or lose the CL title. It's more about Carlo/our coach. But I get your point...

Only for God... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I'm quite sure Carlo asked for a couple more signings in the summer! Edit: last summer...

I'd get the ex-Inter, Frey. The best GK in Italy, will be 28 in 2008...

Release Dida, Kalac and Fiori and put a Primavera one as Frey's sub. This for 2008/09. I'm tired of grandpa's.

it's amazing frey hasnt been called up for france, domenech obviously has it in for serie a which is pretty pathetic.

for me i would like to see frey, he's matrued into a great Gker and i we could get a good 4 years out of him.

but personally i want a Gker that we could keep for 9-10 years, a long term thing so my first choice would be akinfeev.

You're right about his personality, he wouldn't really fit in, he'll speak his mind and has got himself into trouble a few times like that.
